Too Late | Jaywon

chapter sixteen

Jay and jungwon were watching random movies on the couch. Jay was so focused to the movie when something landed on his shoulder. It was jungwon. The younger had fell asleep on the older's shoulder. Jay smiled looking at the beautiful younger sleeping. He closed the tv, and carried jungwon to his bedroom. He laid jungwon in his bed and tucked him in. He gave a small kiss on the younger's forehead and smiled. How can you be this cute jungwon. He closed the lights and slowly went out. He picked up his belongings and left.

In was evening by this time. Jay didn't want to go home because there was nothing interesting to do at home. So he decided to go to the park instead. He sat under the usual tree where he and jungwon likes to hang out. He sat there. Jungwon was the only thing and person that he is thinking about right now. He always felt lonely whenever he was not with jungwon. But when he is with jungwon, everything changes. The atmosphere became more brighter and so does jay's mood. Everything with jungwon and what he does is just so perfect to him. Jungwon's smile, his laugh, and whenever he blushes, it makes jay's heart melt. This is the first time jay actually felt like this with someone.

Everyone (in their friend group) knows that he likes jungwon. Jay was being too obvious but weirdly, jungwon doesn't see that. All he sees is that he likes jay but jay doesn't feel the same way. Poor jungwon, if only he knew.

Even jay, he knows he likes jungwon, but he's denying it. I'm falling for you JUNGWON!!!! he screamed inside his head while clenching his hair. He stopped clenching his hair and laid his back on the grass roughly. "UGH!" He screamed out loud. He likes jungwon maybe even love, but he is saying to himself that he can't. And that "this phase" will all fade away soon.

Jungwon woke up feeling much better. He was excited today, but he doesn't know why. He went downstairs to be met by sunoo and his boyfriend. "Oh hoonie hyung you're here this early?" Jungwon said as he took the milk and poured it into the bowl. "Yeah, i wanna spend the day with my little baby~" sunghoon responded as he hugged sunoo's waist and the younger giggled. Jungwon did a fake puke and rolled his eyes.

Just then, the door bell rang. Who could that be? "Looks like you're boyfie is also here~" sunghoon said. "What?" Jungwon said confused. "Go get the door wonnie." Sunoo asked his cousin and jungwon did as told. He opened the door only to be met by none other than prince charming, jongseong park. "Hey wonnie" jay said with a warm smile. "U-uh hey hyung? What are you doing this early?" Jungwon asked as he tilt his head. "Nothing" he said and gently pushed jungwon away and walked in. "Heyy!!" Jungwon exclaimed. Jay stopped walking and turned to face jungwon. He walked up to jungwon and hugged him making the younger flinch. "Sorry wonnie~" he said softly. He broke the hug and said again "do you forgive me now?" He said smiling. While the younger is still staring at him with stars in his eyes, unable to form words. "I'll take that as a yes" jay said.

"Okay you two go be lovey doveys. We're gonna go. Bye!" Sunoo said and sunghoon waved. The door closed and jaywon are left home alone... again..
Honestly it isn't a bad idea...

"Are you hungry wonnie?" Jay said as he took out his phone. "No-" just then jungwon's stomache growled loudly. "Hehe" jungwon laughed in embarrassment. Jay chuckled and patted the younger's head. "Okay let's go eat." Jay pulled the younger and they went to a cute cafe.

They ordered some food and drinks. They talked for awhile when jungwon suddenly held his chest.

[Jungwon pov]
I was having fun with jay hyung when suddenly, my chest hurt. My heart, to be exact. Not heartbroken or anything but there is a very painful sting.
"Wonnie! Wonnie! Are you okay???" Jay asked panicking and worried. Everything went blurry and my head started to hurt. "Yeah yeah i'm fine-" i tried to reassure jay but then everything went black.

I woke up, still having a slight pain in my chest and my head hurts a little. I look to my right and i saw jay hyung sitting there with his hands on his head. He looks stressed? "Jay h-hyung...." i croaked. It honestly hurts to speak so i speaked gently. Jay looked up immediately and he hugged suddenly hugged me. And he started sobbing? "J-jay hyung... are y-you okay?" I asked with all the strength i had. He didn't respond but started to cry even harder.
[End of pov]

After a while, jay pulled back from the hug and sat on the chair looking devastated. *sniff sniff.* "Wonnie... i'm sorry" he looked up with his puffy eyes and tears start to fall again. Jungwon was surprised and confused. What happened that made jay like this? "Hyung e-explain..." jungwon said croaking. *sniff sniff* "p-please" jungwon said again. He was about to cry at this point. Seeing jay like this makes him wanna cry. Jay nodded. "S-so... the doctor said *sniff* y-you have a h-heart condition. And you won't have alot of t-time l-left-" jay said and started to sob again, hugging jungwon. "D-don't leave m-me wonnie... p-please" he mumbled. Meanwhile, jungwon is still processing what he heard and what happened.

Suddenly two people barged into the room. It was jungwon's aunt and uncle (but let's call them jungwon's parents to make it short). His aunt is crying and his uncle looked very worried. "Oh my god jungwon! Why didn't you tell us you were sick!?" His aunt said sobbing next to him. "I'm sorry a-aunty.. i-i didn't felt anything at f-first" jungwon croaked. "No no no don't be sorry." His aunt cried out again. "You. Thank you for taking care of him. If you didn't came it could've been worse." His uncle said pointing at jay. "A-are you his boyfriend?" His aunt asked. Jay looked at them with his puffy eyes and nodded slowly.

The nurse then knocked on the door. "Are you guys mister yang's parents?" The nurse asked. "Yes. Yes we are" his aunt said. "The doctor wants to speak to you two about jungwon's health and how we can try to heal it." His parents nodded and went with the  nurse.

"Hyung.." jungwon called. "Y-yes wonnie? *sniff* jay said. "T-thank you... if it weren't for you, i would've died in the h-house" jungwon said with a little smile on his face. "No wonnie don't say t-that. You're not gonna die. I'm gonna be here for you no matter w-what." Jay said while holding jungwon's hand. "A-also, why did you say y-you are my b-boyfriend?" Jungwon asked curiously. "Well..."
