Backstory: Her family was born with a very rare and unique breathing technique. Something is known as Dragon breathing. Her family name was started with a demon from the past who was Muzan's second commander, the past upper one demon, and the best friend of the father of demons. But soon to come, betrayed Muzan for his true loved one. Her ancestor could break free from Muzan's curse and control, living freely for many years. Over the years, her ancestor found a way to become human again, but not at the price of becoming what his newly created breath technique is. Therefore this price is paid by the generations to come. Preferably in male heirs.
But this time, the curse's tradition was broken. Muzan had found her family and killed them, believing that they had a son with the breath. But sadly, that was not the case. Katsumi was born with the ability and had fled by the wishes of her parents. She was soon found by Sakonji Urokodaki and brought back to the headquarters of the demon slayer corps only to be adopted by the Ubuyashiki family.
