NARRATOR POV

Winter walked into Ironwoods office along with the newly rebuilt Penny.

Winter:you summond me sir?

Ironwood:yes...I need you both to see this

He pulled up camera futage of the Atlas docks. It showed a Mistrel police force Bullhead dock in Atlas. Gaurds went to check it out when the doors opend and a wounded Zero shot the two gaurds in the head. He held his stomach and moved from the docks into the city, killing any Atlas personal he came across. Winter kept her composure but inside she was screaming, worried and angry at him.

Ironwood:Zero is in Atlas, as to why I assume the relics which means he'll be going after the Maiden, we have his base locked down so he wouldn't risk going back so...he must have an ally in Atlas or another safe house. Penny I want you to find him but do not engage

Penny:understood sir

She left the room.

Ironwood:Winter...in your report of the mission to Scout Zeros Island, you said you didn't find him nor did he attack you like he did the Ace Ops am I correct?

Winter:sir, he did not make any attempt to find nor engage me

Ironwood:then tell me why you were off comms for an hour?

Winter:as I said in my report my scroll-

Ironwood: malfunctioned yes...but when I check it was undamaged and working fine

Winter still kept her composure but was getting more and more nervous.

Ironwood:what I believe is...you did make contact with Zero so my theory is your the reason why he's in Atlas

Winter:sir I swear to you I never came in contact with Zero...

Ironwood turned to face her and walked up to her.

Ironwood:Winter...I have trusted you with the knowledge if Salem and the Maidens so I trust your telling the truth because...

He grabbed her by the neck.

Ironwood:if your not I will make you

He let go and Winter breathed heavily.

Ironwood:your dismissed

She quickly left without saying anything her usual upright posture was no more. She leaned against a wall holding her neck and letting a tear run down her face.

Winter:why did you come here...?

TIMESKIP

WINTER POV

I arrived back at my apartment and shut the door. Why did he have to come here...now? I leaned against the door and cried silently.

Zero:why you crying little dove-? *cough,cough*

I looked up and saw Zero sitting on the floor next to the the open window. His helmet was cracked and on the floor next to him. I turned on the light and saw his face. I quickly ran over and hugged him still crying.

Winter:you shouldn't be here

Zero:*cough* I had nowhere else to go...

ZERO POV

After I got my armour off Winter started bandaging up my side.

Winter:Ironwood is looking for you

Zero:I know

Winter:and the Ace Ops

Zero:I know

Winter:everyone in Atlas is looking for you

Zero:I know...

Winter:I should take you in

Zero:are you going to?

She had a look of fear on her face but it quickly went away.

Winter:no...

Zero:I should go...I don't want you to be dragged into this anymore than you already are-

Winter:when you I saw you on the camera...I was so scared, I'd never seen you this badly hurt before and...it terrified me to no end but in that moment I couldn't see a world without you and I just want to stay with you a little while longer. I know I should turn you in since I'm a Huntress and your-

I hugged her.

Zero:tonight...just for tonight

I began to cry.

Zero:can we forget...what we are?

We both sat there silently crying.
