Part 9: Memories fade

Do you think a cat can remember all of it's lives? All nine of them? Well I don't, I don't remember my name... or where I originate. All I know is my life here, by Johan's side his protection against the soldiers who continue to hunt us. When I attempt to remember my brain goes into overdrive, sending painful ripples throughout my brain, almost like electricity. The old me probably would have jever asked for such a life, she was probably a normal girl. Parents, family, friends. Ive taken, ive stolen, all for this man whom I have no recollection of. Im a cold shell of what I can be and take what im told with no remorse. But why? Why me?

This is what Alyara would ask herself when her mind would slowly recollect itself. Hydra had to remember to wipe her mind once a week, it wasn't always this way starting at once a month then once every few weeks but that dwindled down as Johan requested more experiments to be done. Smaller and smaller gaps as she became more powerful.

"It is time young one" a hydra agent, the one who typically would wipe Alyara came to her cell where she sat in a corner staring down at her hand as she watched it shift from blue to her alternate ebony skin tone.

The small transition from her being completely mindless to being aware was always wondrous to her, she was always found messing with something about her like the tail that would disappear, or the braid that would reform in her long hair, and its tendrils that would be exposed behind its locks. Yet she was never fully aware enough to really understand. Hydra seemed to always know when she was beginning to come to as she would become disoriented and pay less attention, they knew it called for another mind wipe.

After Hydra dug Alyara from beneath the snow she was returned to the main base in near critical condition. Having fallen from so far up and hitting so many things on the way to the ground there was a lot to be healed and repaired. Her healing factor was not as high but without it she for sure would have died.

So after her healing and fixing of broken bones and damaged insides she was put through a fresh mind cleanse and prepared for an attack. After the fiasco on the train Johan for sure expected a surprise attack from Captain America. He was persistent and he sort of liked it.

Steve on his motorcycle whizzed past trees headed straight for the front door of Hydra's main base. Behind him follow 6 HYDRA guards, they needed to at least try to stop the man of America.

However Steve was prepared, as they shot at him he had his shield mounted on his back, and their shots of raw electricity only bounced off harmlessly.  On his right a pad with controls sat and he flipped two switches , and as he drove past two trees a wire line set itself up to trip two of the tailing HYDRA agents off their bikes, leaving 4 to follow.  Next Steve sent out a wave of fire from his suppressors setting an agent aflame and taking out another as they tripped over the flaming agent. Now taking a last turn and ending up behind the final pair of agents he sped up and snatched the pin from one of their grenades, making sure to speed up to miss the explosion finishing off the last two on his tail. 

As he went the last yards he heard the sound of fast running towards him. Looking over he was met with a large animal, one he had never seen. It was black with six legs, it looked like an alien from another planet. Riding it was the assassin he tossed from the train. She was adamant on catching up with him. Attempting to throw her off he tossed his shield her way to which she caught and tossed back harder. He caught it but finally took notice of what was before him.

Ahead was a large tank, already shooting his way, ducking and bearly missing the shot Steve mounted the shield in front of him. Behind him the Assassin was dodging the shots, according to Johan the Agents were just tasked at killing Captain America, nothing was said about her.

Coming up on the tank Steve shot a missile at the underbelly blowing it up immediately, he went up the concrete slope to evade the explosion, of course the assassin followed. As his bike flew up over the slope on the left Alyara from the right on the back of her Thanator followed and she tackled Steve off the back of his bike. They hit the ground and roll before Steve is kicked off and into a truck  making a large dent.

Pushing himself off the ground Steve makes eye contact with Alyara who glares down at him. She stands perfectly calm but raises an arm out as hydra agents move to come for Steve.

Suddenly Steve gets up fast and grabs hold of his shield which lies a few meters away, doing a quick maneuver the shield is sent towards the assassin who only sends it a different way before running at Steve, she throws a punch at him but is punched in the side by the soldier.

First she is taken aback but finds her footing and attacks again. Suddenly Steve and the woman are fighting, however all while this happens the Hydra agents try and overwhelm the man. Which succeeds.

Two bigger men with flamethrowers come and surround the only two that are left amongst the large fight. The assassin and the soldier. With a final look back at the soldier Alyara gave a smirk and rolled behind one of the men successfully leaving the flame diamond. Coming behind one of the men she gave him a pat and said the first thing in ages in english.

"Take the man to Schmidt, he will be very fascinated at what we have captured."
