Chapter 7 | one hour

We all stopped dead in our tracks and slowly walked as close as we could to the beautiful noise, Kiss went to the wheel and started driving to that direction. We suddenly saw what beautiful creature was making the beautiful noise they were beautiful...mermaid looking creatures, I was just admiring the beautiful creature I think I was about to climb over the boat and swim over to them until "COVER YOUR EARS" I snapped out of my illusion and covered my ears along with everyone else, I couldn't hear them anymore. "THEYRE SIRENS" "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US" "we want you" the beautiful voice said, it was very quiet I could just barely hear it, one swam over to us and stated "I want that one" she pointed her fin at shadow. Oh no oh no oh no Kiss was right we are going to have to sacrifice somebody. "And don't even worry about objecting we're taking him weather you like it or not, I'll give you one more hour with him" they swam away, there was nothing left to do anymore. We wouldn't be able to make it to land in 1 hour and there was no point in trying to get away from them, might aswel enjoy this hour we have. Shadow just stood there staring at the water like he'd just seen the aramoganist again, I don't blame him, he's probably petrified, me to. I don't want to lose him, not now, I can't. "Hey Shadow want to um- do something for this hour" I was chocking back tears. "L-let's go to my room" we were finally in his room after a very slow, silent, long walk. "What do I do what do I do what do I do" "well don't ask me!" "I'm gonna die Emerald are you not-" he suddenly sat down on his bed, his hands were shaking and he was sweating, he was having a panic attack. On the verge of tears I held his hand and tried my best to comfort him without having one myself. "C-cmon Shadow let's go e-enjoy your hour."
He calmed down slowly, then went upstairs to Kiss. "Hey ba- Kiss" "shadow Im-" "ok let's talk" "huh?" "Cmon talk to me" "o-ok well what are all those keys on your chocker?" "Oh um they're my dads- it's uh- the only things he ever gave to me other than bruises" "BRUISES!?" "Nothing" "well what are the keys for?" "Not sure- oh! Er- Hey Frankie" "Hello shadow" she than walked off without a trace. "I'm gonna spend some time with her" he ran over to Frankie leaving me and Kiss alone. "Arent you sad?" I added. "Well. Yeah but we can't really do anything about it" "your right but-" "KISS I APOLOGIZED TO FRANKIE" "Good for you Shadow!" He walked over here and grabbed me by the arm and started pulling me towards the direction of his room. "SHADOW WHAT THE WHAT ARE YOU DOING SH- SHADOW!" He took me down to his room and sat me on the bed. He pulled a key off of his chocker and handed it to me, "This key my Dad gave me the one time he was proud of me. Its really special to me so I'm gonna give it to you, because I'm proud of you." "Proud of me...for what?" "For getting the boat moving, and trying to find land" I pulled him into a tight hug and started sobbing painfully on his shoulder. "You can't die, you just can't" he just silently hugged me while I cried until Kiss came down to say something I didn't want to hear. "Th-the sirens are here" without a word we both slowly walked up to the sirens. "Now darlings say your last goodbyes" Frankie hugged him and cried along with Balikiss until it came to me, his baby soft hand cupped my cheek, and our faces got closer, and closer until our lips finally touched. Then it was over, it was time for him to go. The sirens tail and fin wrapped around his key covered neck, I tightly held onto the key he had gave me with tears running down my face. He was pulled into the water and then that was it. He was gone. Forever gone
