Chapter 25: "The Decision"

*** Clarisa's POV ***

Placing the last bag into the boot of the car, I sit down in the passenger seat and place my head on the window.

Sitting down beside me, Jake places his hand on my back, and starts rubbing it.

"Babies are you ok?"

Shaking my head, I think back to what Jake's Mum had said earlier.

She was right.

Pulling up at my house, I was glad to see that my dad and Aiden weren't home.

Walking inside the house, I go straight upstairs and clear out half of my closet pushing it all to one side so there is enough room for Jake's stuff.

After also cleaning out a few draws, I walk downstairs and see Jake sitting on the couch, smiling as he happily watches tv, which causes me to break down crying and run upstairs, locking the door behind me.

As I slid down the door, I connect with the floor and feel more tears emerging, as a quiet thump rings above my head.

Standing up I move away from the door and sit down on my bed, cuddling up with the numerous amounts of pillows scattered across my bed.

"Sunshine. What's wrong?"

I could feel the confusion and pain in his voice.

"I don't understand baby we were happy this morning. What happened? Did my Mum say anything?"

Listening to his words I cry even harder, which I knew he heard, because his shadow lowered closer to the ground.

"Baby, she doesn't know anything. She doesn't know what we are to each other, and she doesn't understand what it means to love someone who you would do anything for."

"That's the point Jake. You shouldn't have to give up things that you enjoy... and even love because of me... and honestly you shouldn't be with someone who will... allow you to ruin your chances for a future because of their own personal wants and needs. You deserve so much fucking better than me."

"Don't say that Baby. Whatever she said to you isn't true. She doesn't know what she's saying. We were having a good moment today. We were in a good place and moving forward in our relationship. We were happy today, remember? What she said doesn't change that."

Closing my eyes, I try to control more tears from escaping out of me. Wrapping a blanket around me I walk to the door unlocking it.

Almost instantly the door is opened. With Jake wrapping his arms around my body hugging me as he whispers sweet nothings into my ear, trying to calm me down.

"I love you so much Clarisa. Please don't leave me."

Pulling his warmth into me I cry harder into his shoulder as he picks, we up and carries me to bed placing me down beside him as I start to fall asleep in his arms.

"Please don't leave me Sunshine?"
