Chapter 40: Settling Down

Irene's pov

It's been months since everything went back to normal..

Day by day, I've been helping Seul remember little by little as well..

Right now I'm with my sisters and daughter in the mall…

The two were basically spoiling Minjeong while I just laughed…

I sat down on a bench and waited until the 3 were done..

I played with my phone, until it rang..

I answered the call since I saw it was Seul..

*Call answered*
“Hello, Seul?” I called out to the other line..

“Hi, are you at home right now?” She asked..

“Nope, I’m at the mall with Minjeong and the other two..” I replied

“Alright, I’ll pick you up right now, we have to go somewhere, tell Yeri and Joy to be home with Minjeong before 7..” 

“Ok, text me once you arrive..”

“Will do, bye..”
*Call ended*

“Sooyoung-ah, Yerim-ah!” I called out to them once I saw them rushing out the store with Yerim carrying my daughter..

They walked back to me and sat down…

“What is it, unnie?” Joy asked..

“Seul is gonna pick me up in a while, she said we have to go somewhere, just call Lucas to pick you 3 up, go home before 7, alright?” I explained while they nodded and before I could even start to remind them about things Minjeong might need, they dashed off..

I just shook my head with a smile while I heard their loud laughter…

I continued to sit there, waiting for Seulgi’s message..

I ran my eyes around the place until I felt someone backhug me..

Audibly, I gasped and froze but I relaxed once the person spoke, “Hi there, Hyunnie..” 

I smiled at the honey-like voice that I know all too well..

Leaning back, I responded, “Hi, how was work?” 

“Same-old, same-old, nothing really new and all..” She explained and kissed my cheek before pulling off the hug and sitting down beside me..

“Where’s the three?” She asked..

“I don’t know, they ran off somewhere..” I heard her chuckle once I finished my sentence..

“Well, I think we need to get going, cmon, let’s go..” She said while looking at her watch..

We stood up and I immediately clinged on to her…

“Where are you even gonna bring me?” I asked as we made our way to the parking lot..

“About that… It’s a secret, and i’ll need you to wear this, until I say you can take it off..” She said as we arrived at her car, she gave me a blindfold…

I took it and looked at her suspiciously..

“What’s this for? You aren’t gonna murder me or sell me off to a mafia, are you? Kang Seulgi?” I said in a terrified tone though I was only kidding..

She looked at me in disbelief and chuckled after a couple of seconds..

“Don’t you trust me?” She asked and leaned on the car..
