In the end, I decided I'd stay close to Thomas,
If all goes well that is. In situations like this nothing is for certain.
We'd take a different vehicle, separate vehicles.
Thomas didn't want Newt in the truck with us because I knew damn well he was getting jealous,
Of course he had every right to be. I have been spending a lot more time with Newt. I'll admit that.
But of course Newt was going to get sicker and sicker, so we have to keep an eye on him. Just in case he goes downhill faster than expected.
Thomas offered to drive.
"You think you know how to drive?" I laugh.
He gives me a 'seriously' look.
"I've got this." I step up.
Before he steps in front of me.
"It's safer in the back." Thomas speaks.
"Oh my fuck." I roll my eyes. "Again?"
"You can give me the 'it's not safe' bullshit when we get there, or atleast wait a few months, damn."
He throws his hands up, "Okay, okay, fine."
I get in the drivers seat, starting the vehicle. Pulling the seat belt over and pushing it in until I hear the click sound. I adjust the seat to my liking and the others hop in.
Thomas in the passenger seat then Newt and Frypan in the back. We were all dressed in our uniforms and ready to infiltrate the building.
We also of course, had guns.
"I think we should go over the plan once more."
Frypan suggests.
"Yeah." Newt agrees.
"Well, I think Fry should look for the cure."
It was my turn to suggest.
"I can do it." Newt speaks,
"No, you can't." I respond,
"Why not?"
"What if you get worse?" I stated more than asked,
He's silent. He knew I was right.
We started our long awaited journey to WICKED.
I was nervous but hopeful. Most importantly,
I was ready.
