At first, Lindsey thought about just going to see Don unannounced, knock on the front door and give a piece of his mind. But he was better than that. Besides, Don had a wife, who very likely had no idea, who she truly married and their children were younger compared to Adam and Ella. Lindsey didn't want to appear as a lunatic and scare the people, who had nothing to do with Don being an asshole.

Gripping the steering wheel tightly, Lindsey's eyes followed Don, when he got out of his car. He had arrived a couple of minutes prior to Lindsey. He couldn't believe that once and not even that long ago, he thought of this man as his friend. Giving himself a moment to calm down, Lindsey waited for Don to cross the street and enter the restaurant they had agreed on. Meeting in such a public place was for the best.

The second Lindsey located Don and noticed a bolding spot on his head, he wanted to slap him right there. Taking a deep breath, Lindsey approached the table and sat down.

"Thank you for coming." Don spoke up. "I wanted to apologize to you face to face, for everything." He added.

"Cut the crap." Lindsey replied, trying to restrain himself from causing a physical fight. "I'm not here to make up. I don't need your apology."

"Well, I still am sorry, truly." Don emphasized, laying a hand over his heart. "I've never meant for any of this to happen, certainly I've never thought this would come out."

Lindsey laughed without any humor in his voice. "I know that you're lying. You leaked it, you shared it with the whole world. Nobody else knew besides you, me and Stevie. Unless of course you're running around, bragging about it."

"I'd never do that, I swear. I'm a married man, too. Do you honestly believe I'd want my wife to find out about it?" Don's shocked expression didn't fool Lindsey.

"I think, you're forgetting one small detail." Lindsey said. "You weren't married, when it happened, when you used my wife, when you manipulated her into having an affair with you."

It became clear quickly that Lindsey wasn't buying his act and Don's demeanor instantly changed. "You might think that's the truth, but it's not. She was ready to come back each time as soon as she walked out of my hotel room. I must admit, I'm jealous. You're one lucky son of a bitch. She left me exhausted and thoroughly satisfied every single time."

"Do not talk about her like that." Lindsey spoke through gritted teeth. "The fact that she was sleeping with you isn't even the worst part. You got her hooked on drugs. She could have overdosed. You could have killed her."

"Oh, come on." Don rolled his eyes. "She was down on her knees in front of everyone, who offered her a hit. She's not the saint that you think she is. She's not that perfect little housewife you want her to be. I wouldn't be surprised if she's fucking the gardener or the pool boy while you're on tour, playing your music." He used air quotes, when the last word came out of his mouth.

"Listen, you piece of shit." Lindsey slammed his fist on the table and several heads turned their way. "I didn't come here for you to spill this bullshit. And like I said, I don't want your apology, but you're going to apologize to Stevie. You're going to do it publicly, too."

Don laughed harshly, folding his arms over his chest. "Like hell I will."

Lindsey leaned in closer. "Stevie is pregnant. She nearly miscarried right after you told me about the affair. I will not have her go through this, I will not have her reading people's horrible opinions about her in the comments section of some celebrity gossip magazine. I will not have her think that she's the worst human being to ever walk the earth because you set out to hurt her and opened your big ugly fucking mouth. She's stressed out, she's barely eating, because she's anxious, because she's worried that I'm going to leave her because of this. Because of what you did." Lindsey pointed at Don, who was clearly fuming, but he sat with his lips sealed, listening. "God forbid if something happens to Stevie or to our baby, I'm going to hold you accountable." Breathing heavily, Lindsey stared at Don a moment longer. "Fix this mess." He pushed his chair back, making a loud scratchy noise and walked out, pushing the entrance door forcefully, without caring that every single customer was looking his way.
