A day or so after the incident at Blight Industries, Emira and Edric were packing up any of their belongings they had managed to swipe from their old house and placed them in backpacks Luz had given them. Like Amity, they also invoked self exile, though Amity let them use her last name in order to keep them family.

Amity: Are you sure you don't want to stay? The Owl House has plenty of space.

Luz: Yeah, plus the Wild Witch Syndicate is always looking for new members.

Emira: Thanks guys, but I think you have this 'Outlaw' thing all figured out. Besides, Viney always said her door was open.

Edric: Yeah, plus I have a couple of buds from school that live by themselves that need a new roomie.

Amity: *downcast* Oh..... okay.

Noticing Amity's glum expression, Emira knelt down, bringing her into an embrace.

Emira: But, we'll call often and we can still hang out.

Luz: But what about the Emperor's Coven?

Edric: Yeah, you see.... We got fired.

Luz: Fired?!

Edric: Yep, ever since these little twerps from Glandus joined, Belos gave Em and me the boot and paired them with Matti and Bitch-a.

Emira: Well, we better get going. The Manticore usually feed on witchlings this hour.

And with that, the two former Blight twins opened the front door and left the Owl House, looking back to wave goodbye to Amity. As they finally came out of sight, the two girls sat on the couch, letting the events of the previous night wash over them.

Amity: I actually stood up to her. My own birther.

Luz: Yeah, also I got to fight a talking Abomination robot, so that was new... So, what do we do now?

Suddenly, Hooty stretched in from the window, for some reason a bit giddy.

Hooty: Hey! Guess what's been in my mouth that I'm about to throw up?!

Hooty gags for several long moments. Luz and Amity stare at him in disgust as they scooch away slightly as Hoot finally throws up four envelopes.

Hooty: The mail!

Luz picked up the envelope, looking surprised at the return address.

Luz: 'Hieronymus Bump'? It's addressed from Hexside.

Amity: All of them are from Hexside.

Amity picked up the envelope addressed to her, along with Willow and Gus' to give to them. Luz tore open the envelope, revealing what looks to be some sort of letter.

Luz: 'Dear Ms Luz Noceda, though you may not be a student of mine, you are still an excellent scholar and an influential student of Hexside. Therefore, you are cordially invited to a special event taking place at said school at 9 AM sharp. I shall see you and your 'Wild Witches' then. Sincerely, Princey B.'

Luz smiled at the use of the principal's hated nickname, looking over the envelope again.

Luz: A special event? I wonder what it could be.

Meanwhile, a brazier had been lit, releasing a blue flame. Emperor Belos sat atop a throne in front of his mostly constructed portal, Golden Guard and Kikimora at his sides and two Abomitrons standing at the base of the steps. In front of them, 9 witches walked forth, each wearing a medallion engraved with a Coven symbol.
