King Clawthorne-Whispers woke up like any other normal morning, going through his normal morning routine. Yawning and almost snapping his spine as he stretched, he climbed out the sleeping bag he used as his bed and looked to his 'general', Françoise.
King: *salutes* Good morning, General.
The rabbit, predictably, didn't respond, but that didn't bother the dog-like demon before. He then tucked the stuffed rabbit back into the sleeping bag and made his way over to Jean-Luc, still laying inert at the corner of the room.
King: Good morning, Jean-Luc.
The demon patted the creature on it's bone-like face, only to stop and scratch his back like crazy. The small demon's back had started itching occasionally, to the point where he'd ask Eda to double-check him for fleas. And yet, nothing.Luz had said the itching would mostly be caused by feathers growing out of him due to the side effect of eating the Owl Beast's meals, but this felt a lot more different somehow.
He didn't know what was causing it, but nothing seemed to be making it go away, and it's only gotten worse every day. It didn't hurt or anything, it just annoyed him whenever it happened. But for some reason, as he stretched after scratching his back..... The itching stopped.
He stopped and questioned himself why the itching stopped, but after five minutes of just loafing around, King decided to greet the rest of his family, too. Using his chain dagger, King turned the knob and pried the door open, walking out his room but unaware as a grey feather seemed to fall off his back. Or rather, something ON his back.
In the living room of the Owl House, Luz was seated at the couch with Raine, the Bard smiling and looking on as their daughter played with Rhyth, who nuzzled the girl's cheek in affection.
Raine: Wow, Luz, Rhyth truly has taken a shine to you. You know, we had difficulties in the beginning when I carved her, but you two are getting along as if you knew each other since birth.
Luz: Oh, this is nothing, Baba. You should've seen how it went when I met Amity's Palisman for the first time.
