Continuing from the last chapter, Spotted Sludge and Tyrant ran through the mine with a Titan vein in search of Titan's Blood for the portal door. Wrath and Raine, codenamed Hot Stretch and Echo, stayed behind to hold off the Admin and Odalia.
Sludge: Come on King, tell me we're close.
As the Abomination specialist ran down the mineshaft, Tyrant sat atop her shoulder looking over the map Luz had made.

Tyrant: Okay, according to this weirdly drawn map, Eclipse Lake should be about four seconds away.
Rolling her eyes, Sludge ran through another entrance, finally reaching her final destination. Only she was met with a massive crater in the middle of a cavern and Hunter digging right in the middle. Sludge and Tyrant slid into the crater, causing the Golden Guard to look at them.
Hunter: Relax. I'm not picking a fight.
Tyrant: What happened to the lake? Where's the blood?
Hunter: Gone. You see, in the Savage Ages, ancient witches constructed these mines in order to harvest the blood for their own purposes. They exhausted the reserves and eventually, Eclipse Lake dried up. There's no more Titan's Blood.
Sludge: Then, why are you digging?
Hunter: Oh. *chuckles* It's simple really. You see, Belos needs the original portal key. Since he doesn't have it, he needs Titan's Blood to create a new one. Can't get to the Human Realm without it.
Sludge: There's Blood in the key?
As she said this, Sludge clutched the key under her disguise in her hand. Realizing they had Titan's Blood the whole time.
Hunter: Since I failed my last mission in Latissa and with Forgotten City coming to PS5 soon, I heard about this mission and thought, "Finally, a chance to redeem myself and maybe get my PS5 back!" I can't go back empty-handed, otherwise my PS5's gone forever and I'll have nothing else to live for!
Hunter hoarsely laughed at himself, smiling as if he were insane, only to get back on his hands and knees with a frown.
Hunter: *darkly* Not again. Long story short, *points to hole* this is my grave. Want me to make you guys one too?
Tyrant: Um... Nah, I'm good. Thanks. You are really bumming me out.
Hunter: Eh, that's just life, Masked Rat-Bird-Dog. Everyone has a use, and if they don't... *raspberry* Buh-bye! Your Abomination apparently gets it.
Tyrant: *to Sludge* What's he talking about?
Sludge looked at the demon awkwardly, sighing as she brought out her tamogachi.
Sludge: Luz has been sending me these strange human codes. I don't understand all of them but, this one seems pretty clear. Come back with results or we're done.
