The sun was starting to set, meaning everyone was going home. And one person in particular was pushing through the crowd. Jane was angry.

She huffed; her green eyes darting around the small crowd of talking teens. The way Jeff acted was uncalled for, it always was and is. This was her snapping point, it happened everyday, every lunch, and she couldn't sit down and listen to it again.

The girl did hold a strong resemblance to her Mother; Heather Oswald. She had the same hair colour and texture as her- it was black and wavy, Jane had styled hers with a few braids on the side, with the rest loose, whereas her Mother had hers in a loose plait. Her eyes were the same bright green, and she had the same nose, yet she had her father's face shape- which was a soft triangular shape.

She dressed differently than Heather did when she was a teenager, too. Jane wore a black skirt, that seemed to be slightly segmented, with a dark brown belt. Her shirt was the same colour as her skirt, and had sleeves went down to just above her elbows. She wore a brown fingerless glove on her right hand, too. Her stockings were slightly ripped and grey, with black boots with white fur.

And despite her appearance, she was rather friendly and overall a caring person. Normally.

Upon seeing Jeff, Jane's eyebrows furrowed and her gaze narrowed. She marched over to the male, who seemed rather content. "Jeff!" She snapped, causing the male to turn around, his expression falling a bit upon seeing the girl.

"What do you want, Oswald?" He sighed as he stopped walking so the ravenette could catch up to him. He wore clothes that looked almost identical to his Father's, when he was a teenager. A black tunic, with grey,  leather undercoat on top, with a black fur coat, grey trousers and black boots.

"Leave Toby alone. I don't get one reason why you feel that urge to be like that with anyone especially if they haven't done anything to you." She sighed; Jane was ready to yell, in an aggressive mindset, but like usual, she was in a calmer mindset. "Whatever it is that makes you attack him, stop. Don't you think he's going through enough?" She asked.

Jeff shook his head slightly rolling his eyes, starting to walk, which caused the girl to do the same, "Look, I don't see why you're so bothered, it doesn't concern you, you're just way too empathetic."

Her eyebrows knitted together, "Too empathetic?" She huffed, quietly, "No, I just have a decent personality." Jane retorted before going quiet for a bit. "You always seem to jab at Toby for having a dead sister; do you act like that because you lost your brother before you met him, and you envy that Toby managed to meet his sibling?" She hesitantly asked, with a small head tilt.

Jeff's cold, grey eyes darted to her, with a hateful expression, "No. I'm not jealous of him. I treat him like I do because he's wierd- he doesn't belong here, he's stubborn and can get away with anything because of his status." He spat.

Jane gave him a confused look, "But, he hasn't done anything wrong?" She stated, raising an eyebrow.

"Not yet." Jeff huffed, picking up his pace so he could get home.

Jane sighed, shaking her head. She tried, and she'll carry on trying. That's just how she was. She wanted everyone to be happy. The girl started to head to her own home.

When she got there, she opened the door and was immediately greeted with a warm hug from her Mother. "How was your day?" She asked, causing the teen to laugh softly with a shrug.

"It was alright." Jane replied, "How was your day?" She asked, pulling away, holding her smile.

Heather shrugged a bit, "Bit of everything. Busy, mostly." She answered with a small nod, "Your Father's still at work and I'm getting started on the food soon." She added, "Can you check up on Windshear quickly, please? She's missed you- you didn't say hello this morning." Heather replied, with a small chuckle.

Jane playfully rolled her eyes as she headed to the door again, "I was running late!" She replied, walking out again, just to bump into  the Dragon she'd been talking about.

A soft laugh escaped the girl as she gently petted the silver Dragon's forehead and nose. "Hey there girl." She said softly, with a bright smile, earning a soft hum from the creature, that closed it's emerald eyes. "Sorry about this morning, how's about I get you some fish, aye?" She offered, tilting her head to the side and holding her soft expression. "C'mon." Jane said, carefully leading the Dragon inside their home.
