Don't move I'm almost done. Hearthstone signed to Blitzen attaching things to his outfit.
"I don't know Hearth your kind of adding a lot on..." Blitz protested uncertainly.
Hearth pressed a finger to his lips, the universal gesture for 'Be quiet'.
"But..." The elf jokingly glared at him and Blitz shut up.
Hearthstone was attempting to form an outfit together because he was watching Blitzen in his shop sewing and was overcome with awe at how he stitched everything together and wanted to try. Blitzen had agreed because Hearth had looked so determined and he didn't think it would be too bad. The dwarf was now having second thoughts as he realized Hearth had no clue what he was doing.
A few more minutes passed in silence before Hearthstone stepped back and signed, Finished! Close your eyes.
Reluctantly Blitzen did as he was told, and Hearth guided him to a mirror, "Accidentally" leading him into the wall at one point. A moment later he tapped Blitz's shoulder signaling for him to open his eyes.
The outfit was hideous. Nothing matched and there was scraps of fabric sewed haphazardly to the top, but looking at the elf behind him beaming with pride Blitz didn't have the heart to say so.
Do you like it? Hearthstone signed in the mirror.
"Uh... it's... very unique." Blitzen told him.
You don't like it.
"What? No, no! I do! It's-" Hearth held out his hand like 'Stop.'
It's okay it's ugly I know. Hearth smiled. It was fun to make. You are better though.
"Oh good" Blitzen sighed in relief. "Because it really is terrible. I mean why are there just scraps of random patterned fabric everywhere?"
Hearthstone giggled quietly, it was a beautiful sound. Let's go upstairs He signed and pointed at the ceiling, beyond which was the apartment they shared above Blitz's shop.
Blitz agreed and they went up
No one ever got rid of that outfit Hearth made that day.
