Destiny

I decided to make this the next analysis instead of the one I was currently working on because as I was organizing the pictures on my phone, I came across this photo

Now without actually doing the research I would guess this pic is from 2013-2014ish. the exact date is kind of irrelevant in this context, my point is that it definitely predates the love yourself era by years. Let's file that away for a minute.

Jikook shippers supporters however you like to label yourself are pretty familiar with the Jikook Serendipity connection. For those who do not know, Serendipity is Jimin's solo song from the love yourself era. The song centers around the concept of destiny (if you would like a link to an analysis of thia song let me know in the comments.)
In the song Serendipity there is a line that goes "I am you, You are me." This has become a Jikook thing because Jimin and Jungkook constantly reference this with each other. One of them will start "I am you.." raise his pointer finger to the other and then the other will finish 'You are me" and touch his pointer to the others. (terrible description sorry)

The first time that I could find evidence of this happening was Bts Run episode 61 which first aired Jan 28th, 2019. The members were all taking turns on a thumb flicking measuring machine and Jimin and Jungkook got the same exact score so Jungkook said "Destiny?" and Jimin replies with "I told you I am you and you are me" and they shake hands.
