chapter 8 ~𝑰'𝒍𝒍 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖~

We caught up to the others.

"Where were you guys?" Brooklyn asked.

"We were just admiring the crystals is all." Kenjie says.

They all looked at us suspiciously but carried on. We all admiring the water fall.

"Even with the glowy stuff, its really dark here." Kenjie says. I rolled my eyes and took his sunglasses off smiling.

"Oh. I knew that." he said putting them back on.

"I could have used my phone as a flashlight if Sammy hadn't broken it. Of course, if we had my phone, we wouldn't be here at all." Brooklyn hissed.

"Hey would you stop harshing the mellow." Kenjie says as we go in front.

They started blabbering about CKK and Brooklyn saying its Sammys folt bluh bluh.

I looked back at Sammy. I understand why she did it.

"You guys, should the algae be moving?" Sammy asks.

I looked front and saw the Parasaurolophuses. Oh yeah forgot about those.

Yazmina and Ben started arguing about calling bumpy a turtle. Dang these guys can't go awhile without fighting. I chuckled to myself.

Bumpy was whining and that caught the attention of the Parasaurolophuses. They came pretty close to the kayaks. Kenjie hitted one with the paddle.

"Dont hit them." I say.

"They're cool but to close." He says.

Alot of them came forward and began bumping our kayaks together. They stopped suddenly. They swam the other direction.

"Cool, kids to nerds, where are you?" Kenjie called out because it became to dark to see.

"Over here. I think something scared the Parasaurolophuses." Darius says.

"Darius, if we stopped paddling, why are we still moving forward?" Sammy asks scared.

Something than clicked to me.

"Oh, shoot! Quickly paddle the other way." I say. Trying to paddling the other way. We all tried but no use we were still going through. I really need to remember things quicker. We than fall over the fall. We finally saw sunlight. Oh no. I looked around and Gulped while Kenjie gasped.

"Why did you gasp? It didn't soundlike a good gasp." Ben asks.

"Cause I know exactly where we are guys." Kenjie says.

"We are in the Jurassic World lagoon. And so is the Mosasaurus." I say gulping hard.

They all gasped as they saw. Ben assumed it was a giant fish dinosaurs. I nodded my head. We saw it tail out of the water.  It circled us. Brooklyn said the whole behavior.

We paddled going to the stands.

"This is not how Kenjie wanted to go out!" Kenie says.

"This isn't on my to-do list either." Yazmina agreed.

Me and Kenjie finally arrived at the stands seeing the rest still paddling. I saw Yazmina on the pole. She made some noise so the dino doesn't get to Darius and Sammy. I don't think she thought this through because the dino was coming after her. I thought quick.

"Kenjie that hook!" I say.

"On it." He responded and yelled grabe the chain to yaz. She got on. The Dino than snaps the chain and she comes swinging down. I looked at where she is about to land and tried running as fast as I can but fail as she looks like she sprained her ankle. I rushed over to her.

We all checked up on her and she hurt her ankle.

We looked around to see everyone... gone.

I went by the bleaches and layed down. I can't believe this is all happening.  I hope everyone is okay there.

I felt someone sitting next to me and looked to see Kenjie. I sat up.

"Hey, you okay?" He asks.

"Well, other than having so many near death experiences im fine. U?" I say smiling. He looked at me smiling as well.

"Why you looking at me like that?" I asked than feeling his lips on mine. I was suprised but kissed back. I felt his hand caressing my hair and I kissed deeper. We pulled apart and smiled at eachother.

"I promise 𝑰'𝒍𝒍 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 and to never leave you." He says rubbing his tumb on my cheek.

"Thats a big commitment, ya know" I say.

"Im ready for that."he says and we pecked eachothers lips before we hear Yazmina grunts.

I wanted to go over but saw Sammy so I stayed back while Kenjie went more up to the bleaches. I heard what happened and saw Yazmina walked away. I went over and asked if she is okay and Brooklyn asked the same.

"Naw. Not really." Sammy replied.

"Yeah. Sorry."I say.

"Yeah. Dumb question." Brooklyn also says.

"I don't know her that well, but I think if you give Yaz some space, she'll come around. I don't imma be honest IRL aren't really my thing, but, uh... Sounds right yeah?" Brooklyn says.

"Maybe?" I shrugged.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" Sammy ask us.

"Am I usually not?"I ask witha smile. She laughed.

"No you are but Brooklyn." She said. I was going to leave to check on Darius.

"Because Kenjie is right." Brook says. That's the first.

"Ugh, that feels so wrong to say. Ugh. Gross." She finished. Ahhh now that more normal.

"Hey, Darius. Umm You good." I asked.

He looked at me and back down.

"Sorry. Stupid question." I say. I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was Kenjie.

"So, not to be a total downer, but Operation find people to help us is, heh.. clearly a bust." He says munching on popcorn. He better not have picked that up from the floor.

Darius talked about his dad wanting to come here but we than heard sirans.
