With Hajime's hand in mine, I walk down the street, humming. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, a small breeze is blowing. Life has turned out so well.

I look at the timer on the chest of someone we pass. It used to scare me so much. A lot of trouble came from it. Insecurities and sleepless nights were so common back then. Not anymore.

Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if the timers had meant something different. Something like death, or great luck, or the worst day of your life...

Oh, well. Whatever it would've been, I'm sure it would turn out just fine. Me and Hajime are meant to be, after all. We would be as happy as we are now.

...Right?

~Hi from Italy!! I am currently on vacation but man, I wanted to write this. A lot of you have guessed all kinds of things about the meaning of the timer in the earlier chapters. And one of those ideas got me thinking...

I have published a second book, "Please Don't Hit Zero", where something might be different... Can you guess it right a second time? Oh, and don't worry about the title... It'll all be fine...

Right?
