When The Timer Hits Zero. ~Iwaoi~

~Part Fourteen~

I decide to trust them. 'I have something to tell you two.' I take a deep breath and look in front of me. 'It's kind of a weird story, but please hear me out.' I can see them nod in the corners of my eyes. 'You know when my mom left, right?' I start. They nod again, frowning.

'It was right after my twelfth birthday. She fell in love with someone else. And I could've known.' I take a deep breath. 'The morning of my twelfth birthday, I woke up to my mom coming into my room. It was the first time ever I saw it. On her chest, close to her heart, was a timer. I didn't know what it meant yet, but I saw it everywhere. I had it, Iwa had it, only few people didn't, most of them happily married.'

I sigh as I continue my story. 'My timer ran out just a few days before Tama's wedding. The night of the game Russia - America, that Lev was so excited about.' I smile slightly, seeing the two boys next to me still looking as serious as before. 'My timer broke. On some people, a new one appears right after, but mine is gone forever. It was then that I fell in love with Iwaizumi.' I feel the hand on my back moving slowly, patting my back as I swallow away the tears that start to form in my eyes.

'Tama's wedding day came. I introduced them, Lana and Iwa. I wanted her to take a picture of us.' I stop talking, taking a few deep breaths. 'Their timers broke at the same time. I saw it on their faces. They fell in love.' My voice breaks and the tears finally start flowing out.

Makki and Mattsun stay silent while I cry, not saying anything about how weird it is or laughing at me. Mattsun is the first to break the silence. 'That's quite the story. Thank you for trusting us.' Makki hums in agreement. 'What do their timers look like now?' he asks. 'Iwa's is gone. Lana's has resetted, but I don't know what the time is at.' I answer.

We both sit in silence again, until our few brain cells come to a conclusion. 'Her timer resetted?' Makki suddenly says loudly. 'Y-yeah, why?' I say, my heart beating fast from the sudden scream. Mattsun's face also changes into a 'holy shit' face, and he grabs me by the shoulders. 'Oikawa, we have to warn Iwaizumi!' I'm still confused. 'Why?'

'If Lana's timer runs out again, won't she fall in love with someone else?'
