The nurse's voice was heard throughout the room.
"what will her name be?"
Another nurse asked as she wrapped up the baby girl in her hands.
"(Y/n), (Y/n) Sohma"
"that's a beautiful name"
The nurse said handing (Y/n) over to her mother.
"hello baby"
The mother said sticking out her finger
(Y/n) grabbed her mother's finger as she cradled her new baby.
Everything was peaceful until a 16 year old hatori came in. Atmosphere changed as slight fear arose in the new mothers eyes.
"H-hatori, what brings you here-"
"is this the new Sohma?"
"yes sir, born only a few minutes ago"
"has she been tested?"
"'n-no sir"
"why not."
"we wanted the mother to meet her baby first"
"test her now"
"yes sir"
The nurse replied taking (Y/n) from her mother.
(Y/n) was placed into the doctor's hands, yet nothing happened.
"take off the blanket"
The doctor did so and *POOF* (Y/n) turned into a small black kitten.
Her mother burst out into tears.
"yet, she's been cursed"
"I'm so sorry, ma'am"
(Y/n)'s mother couldn't even speak. Mixed emotions formed over her new child.
"take her away"
Hatori said as the nurse took (Y/n) to the main estate.
Time skip
"SHE'S A MONSTER"
"SHE'S YOUR CHILD!"
"I DON'T WANT AN ANIMAL!"
parents were fighting over a newborn cursed with the Chinese zodiac.
"the black cat, the cat of misfortune, the cat of bad luck.-"
"youre not helping hatori"
"I wasn't finished. The black cat, most powerful among the zodiac animals. She even overpowers my mind wiping 'talent'. (Y/n) I become a powerful yough woman one day"
"see, (Y/n) isn't a monster. Give her a chance"
"NO WAY IN HELL"
(Y/n)'s mother said slapping her husband.
"she's a monster. And she will always be a curse"

My body shot up as I panted for air.
"het what's wrong, are you ok?"
I heard someone ask, I looked over and saw kyo staring at me.
"y-yeah. I just had a bad dream"
"well, don't scare me like that. It's 2 in the morning, you should go back to sleep"
"right"
I said turning back over to my side.
Time skip
I woke up to Kyo shaking me.
"hey, are you ok?"
"yeah, why?"
I asked half asleep
"you were shaking"
"I was?"
I asked getting up
"I'm going to tell shigure about this."
"no wait, it's nothing. I just had a nightmare-"
"you can't change my mind"
Kyo said leaving
I know he's looking out for me but sometimes I just want him to give me space.
I went downstairs to the kitchen to go get some food.
"hey (Y/n)"
Tohru said behind me touching my shoulder
"AHH"
I screamed spinning around and pinning her to the ground.
"y-yn..."
"What's going on in here-"
Yuki asked examining the scene
"omg tohru, I'm so sorry"
I said backing up against the fridge flat on my butt.
"(Y/n) what is your problem-"
"no Yuki, it was my fault. I scared (Y/n)"
"(Y/n)- what happened in here?"
Kyo and shigure were all looking at me. I was breathing heavily as my eyes scanned the room.
"did she hurt you?"
Yuki asked Tohru while helping her up.
"i see, this is worse than I've anticipated."
Shigure said
"what? Is something wrong with (Y/n)?"
Tohru asked
"unfortunately (Y/n), we are going to have to take this to Akito"
