Loki's POV:
"Every day's the same. Stuck in an anti-Magic cell, watching disciples come and go. I'm sick of this. And I don't know if Harr wakes up ever again..." "I know how you feel. I want to get out of here too." Charlotte's body was covered in bruises and wounds that showed no sign of healing. She had it worse than me. The Mad Hatter was forced to create stuff for the disciples and Charlotte was used as their test subject. "I don't care how I get out. They can kill me if they want. I don't care anymore." "But what about your boyfriend? Think about he would feel if you're dead."

The Jack of Hearts told me how much he cared for Charlotte. "I'm sure it would hurt him to find out about your death." Charlotte looked at me with wide eyes as if she's seen a ghost. Out of the blue two disciples appeared before her. "Follow us." "Not again..." The disciples opened the cell and took Charlotte away. "Seems like something's finished again."

Edgar's POV:
I walked away as fast as I could. I loved Charlotte but I couldn't bare hearing her screams while the disciples used her as a test subject. After a few minutes I stopped in front of a testing tube. "Will you ever wake up again, King Lancelot?" I stared at his almost lifeless body inside that testing tube. He didn't move, didn't wake up, it almost seemed like he was dead. King Lancelot was barely breathing. It was like that testing tube was the only thing keeping him alive. "Edgar:" I didn't notice someone was behind me. As I turned around I saw Seth, no, Azazel standing behind me. "It's rather quiet the last few days. So we're allowing you to outside for one hour maximum. And you should be grateful that Amon decided to trust you. He expects you to come back on your own after one hour passed."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. They allowed me to go outside? Without a guard to watch me? "What happens if I don't come back?" "We will send disciples to look for you and kill you. So you better choose wisely if you don't want to be killed yet." I watched Azazel leaving while I was deciding what to do. "I don't want to come back ever again. But I don't want to be killed either." While I was still trying to figure out the right choice, I left the magic tower. "Maybe I could try to hide outside of Cradle. That way I could try to look for Jonah or Zero." It sounded like a good idea. But all exits were guarded by disciples. So leaving or entering Cradle was almost impossible without teleportation. "I can't use magic like King Lancelot or the Joker and I don't have any magic crystals."

Before I realized it, I entered a bar. "Edgar? Long time no see." Upon hearing that familiar voice, I snapped out of my thoughts. Kyle was sitting at the bar drinking as usual and I walked over to him. "I never thought I'd see you again. Much less alive." Kyle let out a small laugh and I couldn't help but smile. It was a nice change to hear a laugh like that. He didn't laugh out of pity like other people. "I had given up all hope too. But please tell me the others are okay, Edgar." "You can't really say they're okay. I don't know anything about Jonah or Zero. King Lancelot is still unconscious and shows no signs of waking up. And the disciples use Charlotte as a test subject for their weapons. It's only a matter of time until those tests kill her." It hurt me to say this. I loved her as much as Kyle loved drinking. Charlotte was my everything.

Valdis' POV:
How could I forget my best friend Fenrir like that? We were currently hiding away in the abandoned Headquarters of the Black Army. It was terrible to be here. Many old memories of good and bad times filled my mind. "If only the rest of us were here. Then we could all be laughing and having fun like always." I hear Fenrir talking behind me. "It's been weeks since the Jabberwocks took control. There's no way we can beat them like that. We all need to work together." "But for that we'll have to find everyone, including the Red Army."

All I could do was agree with him. "We don't have any clue where Luka or Sirius can be. And the Queen of Hearts disappeared too." Fenrir groaned in frustration. "Being depressed won't make this situation any better, Ray." "Sometimes I wish it did. And how can one not be depressed in this situation?" As I said that, Fenrir let out a sigh. "You're right. There's barely any hope left. We got separated from our friends. Some might even be dead." Just thinking about that made me sick. I didn't want to believe it. But Fenrir was right. Some of our friends might be dead already.

"I know I said there's barely any hope. But we shouldn't let go of that last bit we still have. We still have a last bit hope left that we can be reunited with our friends and defeat the Jabberwocks. If we let go of that last bit, then the Jabberwocks got what they wanted. And we can't let that happen. It goes against our principles." "You're right, Fenrir. We have to continue on our way. We can find everyone and bring back the freedom to Cradle."

We were determined to fight back against the Jabberwocks. "First we should look for the 7 of Hearts Kyle. I heard he's working in a bar near the Central Quarter. And if we're lucky, he's not alone." "I have a guess what you're planning, Fenrir. But as far as I heard Kyle lost all motivation to be a doctor. Do you really think we can motivate him to a doctor again?" "We won't know until we try. And if we fail to motivate him, then so be it. But we have to try before we give up." "When did you get so good at motivational speech?" "Are you making fun of me?"

I couldn't help but start laughing. Soon Fenrir joined me and started laughing too. I knew I could always count on my best buddy.
