AUDREY POV

Today I planned on talking to Xavier about getting a job. I felt terrible that he was working hard everyday to take care of both of us. I wanted to help in any way I could, and finding a job was the best thing I could do now that I was feeling better.

I also wanted to talk to him about his parents. I felt awful for not remembering that he had lost them at a young age. I wanted him to know that I understood his pain.

I looked online for a job and after hours of searching I found a job at a flower shop in town. I knew a lot about  flowers and floral arrangements so I was confident I would do an excellent job. I sent my application right away and all I needed to do was wait.

I couldn’t wait to tell Xavier. I knew he was worried at first because I was still recovering and getting familiarized with my surroundings. However I felt I was ready to really start living my life again and finding a job was the next step.

I wanted to help Xavier in any way I could. He took care of me and I wanted to do something to help him now.

Luckily he had finally arrived. I walked to the door and greeted him.

We shared a gentle sweet kiss and I hugged him.

“Welcome home.” I said.

He smiled at me and kissed my hand.
