04: Gelo

"Don't you miss me?"

"Sorry but I don't, so can you leave now?", I groaned.

"No because we are going to the mall today. Pinaalam na kita kay Tito and here pala", he said and handed me a bouquet of red roses.

"Still no originality Gelo? But what do I expect", I said.

"Atleast the thought counts", he said smugly. "So what do you say? Are you coming?"

"Yeah", I said. "As if I have a choice" I whispered.

"What?" He asked.

"Nothing, just wait here"

I lazily walked away from Gelo and headed upstairs to where my room is. After I dressed up, I hurriedly gone downstairs to get this day finished with. My still tired from the training yesterday.

"Let's go", I said to him and headed out the door.

I got inside his car and he started to drive.

"When did you arrive here sa Pinas? I thought you have 1 more month sa States?", I asked him

"I arrived yesterday and I have to shorten my stay there. Because I missed you Ella, don't you miss me?" He replied.

"Why would I miss you? Di pa nga kita sinasagot eh"

"Di pa", Gelo said. "So sasagutin mo ako?" Tanong niya.

"It depends", I said. "Why are we going to the mall anyway?"

"Some catching up to do and like a date na rin. Babawi lang sa 3 months na di kita nadala sa mga dates. And if you want, I'm going to buy you some equipments that you could use sa trainings mo" he suggested.

"Wag na, don't you remember that I have money too."

"Bibilhan kita sa ayaw o sa gusto mo. Ako nagyaya eh" 

Same old Gelo Rivera, mapagbigay at mapilit na tao. I still don't know why pinayagan ko tong manligaw saakin eh. Ay oo nga pala may arrangement mga parents namin sa isa't-isa pero besides that gusto raw ako ni Gelo. Gustong gusto naman nila papa nung nagpaalam na manligaw so no choice.

10 mins. passed we arrived na sa mall. After we parked, we headed straight na muna sa isang Japanese restaurant.

After we ate he pulled me sa isang Sports Store, kanina pa siya kuha ng kuha ng mga sapatos para daw sa mga trainings and competitions ko.

"Eto pa try mo, Ella", he smiled at abot saakin ng isang sapatos.

"Gelo dami mo na attang binili na sapatos oh ika-sampu na yan. Meron pa yung 20 dry fits, 2 pairs of knee pads, and 3 sport headbands. Nakakahiya kila Tita pag nalaman nila. Ginagastos mo pera nila." Nakakahiya kasi na makita nilang daming binili ni Gelo.

"It's not their money Ella. It's mine, I worked hard for it naman so wala silang pakealam kung madami to. Ba't ka naman mahihiya? Gustong gusto ka nga nila eh and vice versa", kindat nito saakin at ningitian.

"Basta last na yan at di mo ako makukuha sa mga ngiti mo", sabi ko sabay sukat nung sapatos.

"Oo na, after nito manonood na lang tayo sa sinehan"

After he paid for the things, we went na sa sinehan. Habang naghihintay sa kanya na pumunta bumili ng tickets, I am looking at the movies na pinapalabas nila ngayon. I saw a familiar figures of 6 girls na naglalakad papalapit sa sinehan. At nakita ko sila Ate Lara at mga kaibigan niya pala yun.

"Ano? Kanina pa tayo nag-iikot dito eh", narinig kong reklamo ni Ate Ecka.

"Nood na lang tayo rito sa sinehan." narinig kong sabi ni Gia.
