Combat History:

Chitose Nishizumi joined the EAF March 2019 and quickly proved her talent in the air.  Mastering the MiG-21 rapidly and achieving her flight hours required to exit training, Chitose entered the EAF's active service at the rank of Lieutenant at the beginning of May.

Her first proving ground was over the Osean Capitol of Oured, where she escorted Erusean bombers to their targets, chiefly the Osean Naval Forces and Air Bases. She became an ace on the first day of combat alone, downing a confirmed 9 aircraft, chiefly interceptors.

Shortly afterwards, Nishizumi was transferred to Sol Squadron, where she partook in an attempt to stop Strider and Cyclops Squadrons from returning with intel on Erusean Forces. While she ultimately failed, she proved to be quite the pilot, maintaining her position within the Experimental Squadron.

Over the next few months, Lieutenant Nishizumi ran interception and air superiority missions, along with Sol 5, achieving multiple victories and protecting assets within Erusean Territory. On September 19, Osean Forces assaulted Farbanti, for most of the battle, Sol Squadron didn't partake. However, when Sol arrived, the squadron did a number on Osean Forces before being intercepted by the Osean LSSRG forces, including Three Strikes. She was shot down over Farbanti, but survived the battle.

With her defeat, and no suitable aircraft to fly with the Sol Squadron, the promoted Captain Nishizumi took command over Lightning Squadron, recently formed out of elements of other devastated squadrons, and flew the SU-37 Terminator.

Note: Captain Nishizumi achieved her nickname 'Thunder' for her affinity for air combat in thunder storms, often striking right after lightning flashes and strikes on enemy aircraft.
