"Is there something on my face Sir? "
I finally asked.
He has been staring at me, giving me the side eye and I tried my best to ignore it but I can't eat properly like this.
"Yes"
He said without any change of expressions.
"Oh? Where? "
I asked, randomly wiping my face but he didn't answer me. He just smiled a bit and stood up.
"Eat. I'll just make a quick call"
Then he went outside, leaving me all by myself. The stares he gave me did make me nervous, but now as he left me alone to eat, suddenly I can't eat at all. The silence makes me more uncomfortable. And then I thought, his stares weren't so bad…
"You can come to your University with me"
"You're coming to our University? "
"Yes. I happen to be a guest for today's seminar"
"Ohhh of course. I did read the programme sheet. I totally forgot"
"You're going to attend, right? "
"Well yeah"
" Let's go? "
"No it's okay. I can go on my own"
"We're going by car. It's faster"
"It's only a few minutes away"
" We're going to the same place anyway"
"Okay fine…"
"Good," He smirked.
..
All through the ride, we didn't talk once. We sat silently and arrived at our University in no time.
"Sir, you can just drop me off here"
"Why? "
"Well, it won't be good if someone sees us"
"I don't care"
"But I care, " I whispered. "I'll get off here, it's already the campus anyway" I insist
"Okay"
"Thank you, See you later Mr Wong. Have a good day"
..
"Boo!!"
"Ren!!", I exclaimed " You scared me! "
"Yeah I intend to scare you"
"Ren"
"Okay I'm sorry. But you're so cute"
"Ren" I warned
Ren lift his hands in defeat but he still has the stupid grin on his face.
"What are you doing after the seminar? "
"I don't know? Go home? "
"Won't you be so kind to eat dinner with your best friend? "
"But I need to cook for Mr Wong, remember?"
"Ah right"
I could clearly see Ren's mood immediately dropped. And I feel so bad.
"But can't you just make him dinner and go out to eat with me then?" He asked, looking hopeful.
"Hnm.. I'll see what I can do"
"Okay! "
"Now come on, let's go to the hall"
