~PONYBOY POV~
I sat beside Johnny as we waited for Dally and Julie to come through the doors. The door slammed open in Dallas Was wheeled through.
"You pull a stunt like that again, I'll kill you." He said, smirking.
After a minute, the door slammed open again. I nearly cried when I saw the state of Julie. She had burns everywhere, her eyes were closed and her breathing was uneven and ragged.
"This is my fault!" Johnny cried. "She's in there because of me! It should've been me!"
"No Johnny—" I started but Johnny stood up and shoved his way out of the hospital.
I sighed as I closed my eyes. I heard more footsteps, I peaked my eyes open before I jumped up. Soda turned and ran up to me. I embraced him in a hug.
once we let go, I turn and saw Darry behind Soda with tears in his eyes. I stared at dairy before leaping into his arms. We both cried as I explained what was going on.
Finally, I could come home.
