It was a sunny day at the Kumari Sea, the skies beamed across the pristine emerald ocean with the clear sight of schools of fish and coral atolls stretching across hundreds of miles. The crew aboard the Starchaser — led by Captain Haritz — continued their weekly patrol of the eastern maritime borders of the port-city of Mari. There were concerning reports from their colleagues at the northern reconnaissance flotilla regarding the rising number of Parpaldian ships arriving at Suarra, the Empire's capital.

Fortunately, hardly anything happens east of Kumari Sea ever since Lourai ceased trading with Mari last year. However, for the past few days, the crew hasn't gotten much sleep; they had been hearing a strange buzzing noise through the night, along with the appearance of a strange-looking wyvern that only comes out in the full moon. Unlike any other common wyvern, the one they saw didn't flap its wings, and its body was glistening in the moonlight. The crow's nest claimed it didn't have a neck either, and had a short tail with a sail at the end. Haritz had already reported their sightings back at Mari numerous times through their magical communicator (also known as magicom). But the communication foreman replied that he and his crew probably drank too much the other week.

"Captain! A fleet is approaching from starboard!" yelled the crow's nest.

"Did the Lourians finally resume trade again?" Haritz stepped out from his cabin and saw his crew on deck dropping their equipment, moving in unison to the left side of the ship. Rafael followed suit, and his jaws dropped at the sight of four enormous metal ships. The Starchaser paled in comparison to the sizes of these ships, which were heading straight towards Mari. The captain activated his magicom to Mari as the crew howled another round of astonishment seeing the visiting fleet rapidly passing by.

"Report! This is Captain Haritz of the Starchaser

"Report! This is Captain Haritz of the Starchaser. A fleet is approaching to our maritime borders!" Haritz shouted into his magicom.
