Chapter eleven part one: the final stand

Narrator POV
"oh yeah! we finally get a chance to show what we're made of!" Kirishima celebrated "I watched these finals every year and now im finally in them!!" he continued

"so wait...is it always a tournament?" Mina asked "the finals are always a 1 on 1 competition but the switch it up every time" Sero answered "last year it was a sword fighting match" y/n added

"ooh" Mina replied "come closer and draw lots to see who you're up against" Midnight started as she held a small yellow box "then enjoy the pleasure of the recreational games before we start,the 16 finalists of the option of participating in those activities all are sitting out to prepare for battle,I'm sure you all want to conserve your stamina" she continued

"I'll start with the first place team-" Midnight was cut off by Ojiro raising up his hand and saying "umm excuse me....I'm sorry....but I'm withdrawing" everyone looked at him in shock

"Ojiro...no way" Midoriya said "Ojiro dont let me fight alone!" y/n whined "it just wouldnt feel right....I barley remember anything from the cavalry battle until the very end of it" Ojiro said "i...think it was that guy's quirk..." he continued "oh yeah..." y/n replied

"I wish I could take advantage of it...but my conscience wouldnt let me" Ojiro added "just think about this" y/n said "I have OK!" he replied in a louder tone "everyone gave their all in round two....while I was just a puppet...no way,I dont wanna advance when I dont even know how I got here....it wouldnt be fair" he continued

"you're making way too much of this!" Hagakure exclaimed as she waved her pompoms around "yeah..just kill it in the finals and prove that you should be here" y/n added "yeah what she said...I didnt do much in the battle either" Mina agreed

"thats not it....im talking about my pride here...I refuse to give that up" Ojiro answered as he covered his face with his hand "also....why are all the girls dressed as cheerleaders?" he asked,embarrassed "ask the perverts" y/n answered "Nirengeki Shoda from class 1-B....i think I should wirhdraw from the exact same reason...regardless of how strong I am...this isnt how I wanted to get here" Shoda said 'he was in our team?! how did I not notice that?' y/n thought

"it would go against the values of the festival to advance without earning my spot!" he continued "listen to these these guys...theyre so manly!!" Kirishima said "Aoyama,you better not leave me too!!" y/n pleaded

"this sort of talk is incredibly naive my boys...IT TURNS ME ON, Shoda,Ojiro...you're withdrawn!!" Midnight announced "did she just say it turns her on?!" everyone said as y/n and Aoyama placed their hand on Ojiro's shoulders "dont worry...we'll win it for you" they both said

a few other students from class 1-B were chosen to move on to the finals "take a look at the graph board my dears,these are your opponents!!" Midnight said as she pointed to the big holographic board

Kirishima vs Tetsutetsu

Tokoyami vs Yoayurozu

Ashido vs Aoyama

Midoriya vs Shinso

Todoroki vs Sero

Bakugo vs Uraraka

Kasai vs Hatsume

Kaminari vs Shiozaki

"seriously how does this keep happening?!" Kirishima and Tetsutetsu exclaimed "guess its Uraraka vs boom boom boy over there" y/n chuckled "WHAT DID YOU CALL ME EXTRA?!" Bakugo yelled

"Uraraka? who's that?" Bakugo asked as Uraraka gasped "YOU DARE FORGET MY BABY'S NAME!!" y/n yelled as she hugged Uraraka

"hey there...youre Kasai right?" Hatsume asked as she approached y/n "yeah that's me" y/n answered "oh that's perfect!! I have something nice for you!" Hatsume said as she pulled y/n towards a corner

"here take these!!" Hatsume said as she handed y/n some boots of some sort "um sorry but....I dont do well with gadgets" y/n answered as she slowly walked away "ALRIGHT EVERYONE BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS,ITS TIME FOR SOME SIDE GAMES!!" present Mic yelled as fireworks lit up the skies

"WOOHOO!!!" Hagakure yelled as she jumped with the other girls while y/n and jirou just awkwardly tried to cover their exposed stomachs

y/n didnt want to participate in the side games and she also got tired of the cheerleading outfit,so she changed back into her jumpsuit and waited in the waiting room

after some time,the battle began "do your best out there Midoriya" y/n said as she patted Midoriya's shoulder "t-thanks y/n!" Midoriya said as y/n found her seat next to Mina

"EVERYONE GIVE IT UP FOR OUR FIRST CONTESTANTS..IZUKU MIDORIYA FROM THE HERO COURSE VS...HITOSHI SHINSO FROM THE GENERAL STUDIES!!" present Mic yelled as the two contestants walked to the platform

"READY?...BEGIN!!!!" he yelled again as y/n held onto Mina's arm tightly "youre really into this huh" Mina chuckled "yeah...Shinso is a strong fighter and so is Midoriya...but one wrong move...and its over" y/n replied

Midoriya started running towards Shinso but stopped "shoot..." y/n muttered "i warned him not to say anything!!" Ojiro exclaimed "ITS JUST THE FIRST MATCH AND IZUKU MIDORIYA IS....COMPLETELY FROZEN!!" present Mic yelled

Midoriya turned around and started walking towards the other side of the platform "hes gonna walk right out of bounds!!" Mina exclaimed "c'mon Midoriya...snap out of it" y/n muttered "if he walks out of the ring,he'll lose the match!!" Iida exclaimed as he waved his hands around

Midoriya was one step away from the line until a huge gust of wind exploded around him "WHATS THIS?! MIDORIYA STOPPED JUST IN TIME!!" present Mic yelled as the crowd cheered

"WAY TO GO MIDORIYA!!" y/n and Mina yelled as he ran towards Shinso and started pushing him towards the other end of the platform,Shinso punched Midoriya's face but he kept on running

Shinso hit Midoriya's broken fingers and tried to push him out of the ring but Midoriya grabbed Shinso's arm and threw him beyond the line,everyones faces were shocked until Midnight annouced "Shinso is out of bounds,Midoriya advances onto the next match!!" and with that,the crowd cheered loudly

"that was so nerve racking" Uraraka sighed in relief "well....I guess hes moving on to the next match" y/n said with a big smile on her face "he's pulled that shoulder throw on you before right?" Kaminari asked with a goofy smile "shut it dunce face" Bakugo answered

after a while,it was time for the second match "LETS GET ON WITH THE SECOND MATCH, HE'S GOT SKILLS AND SOME CREEPY LOOKING ELBOWS,FROM THE HERO COURSE..ITS HANTA SERO!!" present Mic announced

"VS SOMEONE WHO WAS RIGHTFULLY PLACED IN THE HERO COURSE THROUGH RECOMMENDATIONS ITS...SHOTO TODOROKI!!" he continued

"READY?...BEGIN!!" he yelled as tape escaped from Sero's elbows and wrapped around Todoroki's body.until ice shot out from under Todoroki's feet and towards Sero,causing him to get stuck in the ice and made a giant ice shard to form,Midoriya and Uraraka gasped with how close the ice was to their faces

"Sero has been defeated,Todoroki advances to the second round" Midnight announced "that was quick" y/n said as a few people chanted "NICE TRY!!" while Todoroki melted the ice

and with that,the third match began
