Chapter twenty one: surprise!

y/n POV
most of the class went back to their rooms while the rest, surrounded Meg on the couch,while asking her questions

"how old are you?" "what's your quirk?" "do you have any cool hero names in mind?" "are you planning on attending UA?" "what's y/n like outside of school?"

"alright guys,it's late and we need to sleep" I chuckled while helping Meg stand up "are they always like this?" Meg asks as they enter the elevator "you could say that" i laugh.

they reached the third floor and walked to my room "this is your room?" Meg asks "yup....welcome to my little burrow" i chuckle "I'm gonna...wash up" Meg says "yeah sure,the bathrooms are just straight down the hallway" i say as Meg walks out of the room.

I let out a long sigh and lay down on the bed when suddenly,there was a small knock from the door "could I come in?" Kiri's voice asks as I sit up "yeah sure"

"so...can I ask about that kiss a while ago?" he chuckled while sitting down next to me "I thought there won't be anything awkward between us!" I say "hey,I'm just asking" he laughs

"y/n- ever since you and Bakugo got back...you haven't been yourself" Kirishima starts "what do you mean?" I ask, nervously "you know what I mean...you became more quiet than usual...you always look so stressed and tired" he answers

"things are... complicated right now" I say "you're worrying us y/n....you're worrying me" he says "so...what's bothering you?" he adds ".....y-y'know heh...school stuff" I awkwardly reply

we sit there in an awkward silence when Meg enters the room in her pajamas "please don't make out" she says while laying down on the bed "so...are you my sister's boyfriend or something?" Meg asks "what?! no!" I quickly say when my phone starts ringing 'oh thank goodness!!'

I answer my phone and walk out the room "hello?" I start "y/n,have you heard from Meg?" mom's panicked voice asks "yeah mom- don't worry, she's alright... she's with me" I quickly answer.

I hear mom sigh "Aizawa tells me you and Meg want to help get your brother back" she says "mom- ofcourse we want to help" I say "y/n,you both know it's too dangerous" mom says "Jay's our brother... ofcourse we'd help" I say

"we'll get him back y/n...I promise you" mom says "you gotta get some sleep... I'll call you when we get something" she adds. we talked for a little while,until she had to go "hey mom?" I quickly say "yeah?" she answers "....I love you" I say as my eyes start tearing up "I love you too y/n....both of you" she replies before hanging up

I wipe my tears with the sleeve of my sweater before walking back to my room to see Kiri tucking Meg under the blanket "is she asleep?" I ask "dead asleep" he answers "I've always had a hard time putting her to sleep when she was younger" I chuckle as he walks out the door

Narrator POV
"night Kiri" y/n says as Kirishima kisses her on the lips "good night y/n" he smiles while walking back to his dorm. y/n slowly closes the door and sits on her chair,with red cheeks and a smile on her face "you like him...don't you" Meg chuckles

'im catching feelings for him aren't I?'

time skip/ 1 week later

y/n quickly ran out of her room, struggling to put on her socks. "hey,where you going?" Jirou asks as Kaminari struggles to get a box out of the stock room "I'm just gonna meet up with someone real quick" y/n answers

"need help over there Kaminari?" she asks "nope!" Kaminari quickly answers

y/n slips on her shoes and runs out the building. after running for an hour or two,y/n finally reached an old warehouse.

"mom?....hello?" y/n called as she heard footsteps approaching her from behind. y/n quickly looked back and saw Emi

"do you have anything on Jay?" y/n asks "yes and no" Emi answers. "we found where Takashi's hideout is but...there was no sign of them" Emi added

"but we did find some plans" she continues while showing y/n a folder filled with photos

"he's planning on running away in a plane later this month" Emi says "how long do we have?" y/n asks "......2 days" Emi answered

"when the time comes,I want you and Meg to meet me here at midnight" Emi explains as y/n's phone starts ringing

"hello?" y/n started "y/n,please come back quick-......" Meg's panicked voice exclaims before the call cuts off. without thinking,y/n sprints out the building without saying a word.

in less than an hour,y/n reaches the campus grounds and heads to the dormitories.

she ran to the 1-A dorms and slowly entered the building. "hello?" she called as she switched on the lights

"SURPRISE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/N!!"

y/n stood there,shocked. "how-" y/n started but Kirishima cut her off "Meg told us" "don't tell me you forgot your own birthday-" Mina exclaims as Kaminari and Meg try to put a party hat on Bakugo

"I...might have" y/n chuckles nervously "DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT PUTTING THAT THING ON ME YOU EXTRAS!!" Bakugo yells "too late!" Meg yells back as she successfully places the party hat on his head

"let's eat!" Mineta exclaims while grabbing a plate from the cabinet "the food won't eat itself!"
