"Hey, baby." You said as you entered your house.

You walked towards your boyfriend of four years and smiled at him as you grabbed a cup of water.

Then, you noticed the look on his face as you lowered the cup away from your face. You were worried.

"What's wrong, Jonathan?" You asked him and he just shook his head, sending you a smile even though he was feeling about something else.

You couldn't even know what emotion he was feeling right now and that's what made you worry even more.

You were scared.

"Um, nothing. Can I call you later?" He stammered and stood up from our couch, grabbing his jacket, not giving you a chance to talk back as he ran and slammed the front door you entered in.

You frowned at his mentality and sat on the couch, thinking about what could've made you upset but nothing came to your mind.

You brought your hands and squeezed the side of your forehead as you clenched your eyes shut.

You tried every person that came up in your mind and became more and more worried as nobody answered your call.

You wanted to sob so badly but you held it in as you tried your best not to.

"What did I do wrong?" You said to yourself and felt a tear slip from your eyes.

That failed when you started to sob and sob until you felt no tears coming out anymore. You felt tired. So emotionally exhausted. You sank against the couch and leaned your head back, swallowing hard.

All of a sudden, you heard a loud ring blaring throughout the living room and you immediately picked up your head from your hands.

You grabbed the phone and pressed it against your ear. You didn't even bother to look at the caller ID. "Hello?" You said, your voice cracking.

"Hey, Y/N... Can you do me a favour?" Your best friend, Lia, cleared her throat and you slightly furrowed your brows in return.

"What?" You replied and relaxed your shoulders but a piece of you was still worried and didn't know how to dissolve it.

"There's a dress on your bed." She hesitated and it caused you to frown deeply. "Go wear it but wash off your face, you look horrible."

Your eyes widened. "Where the hell are you?" Right now, she's sounding like a creep.

She chuckled and honked, leaving you a hint. "Outside. Please just do as I say. Love you."

"Fine, I'll be there in fifteen minutes. Love you too." You then hanged up and let out a sigh as you headed upstairs.

Then, as you remembered Lia's words, you washed your face with cold water as you saw your face puffy and red from sobbing hard.

As you frowned, you couldn't understand what was going on. When did this dress get here? You headed back to your room and put on some light makeup.

You weren't a fan of makeup so you just added mascara and a little bit of lipstick.

Then, you tried on the beautiful dress and slightly smiled at it. It was really pretty. Putting on black heels, you grabbed your small clutch and headed downstairs. Locking every door and window, you practically turned the rooms dark and empty.

Exiting the house, you felt a cool breeze hitting your body as you stepped outside. As you saw Lia's car parked, you noticed the huge grin on her face as you entered with a confused frown. You shook your head to yourself.

"Just please go." You whispered and your friend nodded without saying anything as she drove.

Silence filled you two up as it has been ten minutes. You couldn't know what to say or do. You still felt upset about Jonathan and yourself especially.

"Look, I know about you and Jonathan—"

"Don't. Please just don't talk about it." You begged as you cut her off, your blurry eyes steady on the road.

Lia sighed. "Y/N, I'm sorry. But I can't tell you about what's going on." She said, feeling hurt.

You shrugged as you shook your head. "It's fine." You swallowed harshly and took your gaze to the side window because you didn't want her to look at you.

Later, the car stopped and you sniffled in response.

"We're here." She announced and you nodded your head, getting out of the car.

Outside was very dark but all you could see was the lights on the floor throughout the trails and you felt more scarer than before.

"Why did she bring me here?" You mumbled and slowly walked along the trail.

Then about a few minutes, you wrapped your arms around your upper body and found your boyfriend standing right next to the table.

You frowned and walked faster towards him, feeling the need and the warmness around him. You missed so much. You hugged him and smiled softly.

"Jonathan, what's going on?" You told him as you pulled away.

He pursed his lips into a line and gently grabbed your hand around his. "I love you so much, baby. Don't forget this." He said and got down on one knee.

You gasped and watched him smile brightly. You couldn't believe your eyes. Slowly, they formed tears inside as soon as one spilled freely.

"Y/N, I am so scared...I had the whole letter in my mind but I lost it because this is what I was worried about a lot. I love you so much." He cupped his hand to your cheek gently. "You've been my side at all times and has never cared about anything but us and that's what I love about you. You are the most beautiful, smart, kind and intelligent woman I've ever met and I'm so glad you came into my life. Even though you were so young and I was so old." You laughed and wiped another tear on your cheek.

You and Jonathan met when you were only nineteen and he was just ten years older than you. Everyone in your family had thought it was very gross seeing their youngest daughter do that. Nobody had thought that you would be dating such an older man and you were never disappointed about that.

As Jonathan said, you didn't care about it and that's what brought you guys closer than ever.

"I love you too." You choked out as you managed to say back the words he said but failed.

"I meant what I said, baby, I love you so damn much. Marry me?" He said to you with his eyes blurry and you mentally awed at him as he opened a box and revealed a beautiful rock blaring at your eyes.

You nodded, "Yes. Yes, I'll marry you." You rambled with your words proudly and he stood up quickly, wrapping his arms around your body with so passion that you felt.

"I love you so much." He whispered to you and you grinned widely the fact that your cheeks were beginning to hurt slightly.

Before he could pull away, he passionately slammed his lips against yours and you wrapped your arms around his neck.

Just then, you two pulled away and had some time before he gently grabbed your hand and settled a big rock on your ring finger perfectly.

You looked up at him and smiled proudly to show him how glad you were. You were speechless yet excited. You couldn't believe this. You were engaged to Jonathan Toews.

"I love you more." You whispered back to him and he widened his grin, darting his eyes to the rock on your ring finger and you sweetly.

"Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. You're so perfect." He pecked your lips once again and brought you into a tight hug to show you how much he really cared about you and that he was going to prove it.

"Me too, babe. Me too." You smiled brightly and closed your eyes happily.
