Four: Flustered

It was a horrible idea in the first place, to bring Eddie with me to the mall. My cousin's wedding was in a week and I had yet to find a dress. Bringing an amateur shopper who doubled as an expert puppy dog eye-r was a disaster in of itself.

The day started off with Eddie being adorably excited like a child on Christmas morning. "I want to see the behind-the-scenes of how you get so gorgeous." he'd said. To that, I raised an eyebrow.

"You're saying you don't think it's natural?" I'd repied, knowing exactly how he'd react. As if on cue, his glorious freckles were masked by a deep red that creeped up his neck.

"No!" he shouted, taking himself off guard. Immediately he clamped a hand over his mouth as I surpressed a laugh. "No." he said again, softly. "That's definitely not what I meant. It's just- you always dress so nicely and I can see a lot of effort goes into it! I mean, you know, you always look so nice in the things you wear- not to say you don't look nice wearing anything, of course. You're beautiful clothed and uncloth-"

"Eddie!" I finally interupted, pressing my head into his shoulder and laughing. When I looked back at him, he had a hand over his face and his shoulders were shaking in a nervous laughter.

"I'm such an idiot. I'm sorry, love." he said, lowering his hand. He was even more red than earlier.

"It's ok, Eddie." I said between laughs. "I was kidding. I just said that because I knew how you'd react. It's adorable when you get al flustered and rambly. An oh boy, did you ramble." I said, erupting into laughter again.

Eddie shook his head and wrapped his arms around me. "You're evil." he said.

"You know I'm not sorry." I told him. He chuckled.

"I know. I'm in love with a sadist."

this is short... sorry :/ I'm on an exchange in France right now and I don't actually participate in the classes because I don't know what's going on tbh so I'll have plenty of time sitting in the back of the class writing, so expect more updates in the next few weeks. Enjoy :)
