We'd left the house a couple minutes ago and were finally at the forest's edge, Y/N looked up at me with a smile, I wanted to stop and stare at that smile forever but knew we had to keep going. I started to regret my decision, I knew they'd want to run, I knew they'd be scared, I knew it'd be too much for them but still I kept going. A small bit of hope rose within me as I remembered their reaction to me telling them that I'm a cannibalistic demon, their reaction was a look of amazement, they found it interesting

I looked down at them as we walked, they noticed and gave me a big smile, I looked forward now feeling much better. I felt their hand wrap around mine and they pressed closer to me, I looked down at them confused only to notice they looked a bit scared, I squeezed their hand "You're ok." They seemed to relax a bit but kept a hold of my hand

We'd been walking for a while and Y/N seemed to be getting a bit tired, I stopped and looked down at them, I thought for a moment before crouching down so they could get on my back "Come on, we've still got a long ways to go." I waited like that until I felt them wrap their arms around my neck, I held their legs up as I stood up, they held on tightly and I started walking again. They relaxed as much as they could and rested their chin on my shoulder, "So, where exactly are we going?" I hummed "It's a surprise." To which they replied with a sigh making me laugh. They sighed and seemed to be relaxing more and more until I realized they were asleep

I finally arrived at the mansion with Y/N still on my back, I stopped for a minute to think about how I was going to get in without waking them and without anyone else waking them. I groaned quietly before slowly letting go of one of their legs to turn the handle of one of the giant red stained oak doors, I grabbed their leg again and pushed the door open carefully with my foot before stepping in and closing it behind me. I looked around to see BEN now turned around watching me very closely, a smirk crossed his face, "Whatcha got there?" His robotic like voice was so annoying to me, not to mention his nosy personality agitated me to no end. I tensed up a bit when I felt Y/N move and groan, they rubbed their eyes and I set them down so they could stretch

They yawned and looked around with sleepy eyes before looking up at me slightly confused, "This is where I go, it's kind of like home I guess." I shrugged looking around, their expression changed to a curious one as they looked around, the little elf bastard floated to them catching their attention. Their eyes lit up when the looked BEN up and down "Cool." A huge grin formed on their face and I couldn't help but feel.. Jealous..?

I grabbed their hand "There's plenty more to see." They immediately turned their attention to me that goofy looking grin still on their face. I took them around the mansion trying my best to avoid others all the while. Finally was my room, where I could keep them safe and hidden from everyone else, especially that smiley faced bastard who always reeked of alcohol. They looked around before looking to me "You're life already seems more interesting than mine!" They laughed nervously before looking down with a sad expression, their expression caused a rollercoaster of emotions to well up inside of me, I quickly lifted their chin and looked down at them, my next words kind of just slipped  out, "Stay with me."

They looked at me surprised before looking sad again "Can I..?" Tears formed in their eyes and I realized that they didn't want to leave just as much as I didn't want them to, I nodded and in response got a hug from them. It was the first hug I'd ever gotten from them and it felt so comforting, their embrace was warm and gentle and it made me want to stay in the hug forever. I returned the hug and wrapped my arms around their neck, holding them close

They pulled away slowly and looked up at me with a smile "I think you're my best friend, Jack." For some reason those words stung a little bit but also made me happy, no one had ever really considered me their friend before, just a matter of convenience, I pulled my mask down and smiled at them making their smile widen. Only now had I realized just how beautiful their eyes were, they were a beautiful e/c and were filled with so much emotion, I found myself suddenly captivated by them, their features stood out more now for some reason, their soft, h/l, silky looking h/c locks, they were rather short compared to me, and every inch of them was absolutely stunning

I was snapped back to reality when they yawned, I shook my head and smiled again "Take the bed." They tried to protest but I refused to give in, finally they sighed in defeat and curled up on the bed. I put a pillow on the floor and grabbed an extra blanket and laid down on the floor beside the bed where they laid. They looked down at me with yet another sad expression "I feel bad for leaving F/N..." I grabbed their hand that was hanging off the bed and smiled "I'm sure they'll be fine." They nodded and closed their eyes slowly drifting off to sleep, I couldn't help but smile to myself. Finally I had them to myself, finally I could keep them safe, finally I could hold them close

I had a hard time falling asleep, all I could think about was them
