Q1. How did you come up with the title for your book?

A1. I was actually really stuck when it came to coming up with the title. I couldn't think of anything that fit, and when I can't find anything I usually go to any songs I relate to the book, and of course with True Beauty it has a soundtrack. But again, none of the song names fit so I decided to pick my favorite - I'm in the Mood for Dancing' and took 'Romancing' from that.(PS: indeed a genius you are)👏😏

Q2. What part of the book was the most fun to write?

A2. I can't pinpoint a specific part, but I think the general progression between Seojun and Miyeon and Seojun finally admitting he didn't hate her (no matter how obvious that was) was a really fun thing to write, because it would go back and forth from super friendly to him trying to ignore that it had even happened.(PS: HONESTLY I REALLY LIKED THE SLOW BURN)🙂👍

Q3. If you could be a character in this book, who would you be?

A3. Either Miyeon of Hyunwoo. Miyeon for obvious reasons, being that she's a genuinely strong person after going through so much and coming out on top as successful and Hyunwoo because he's just so sweet, he reads and I love reading then he has a crush on Miyeon and that's how he's introduced as and their first time they properly go out he took her to this family-run bookshop which I would love to go to.(PS: hyunwoo is a bean we need to protect him at all cost)❤

Q4. What is a significant way your book has changed since the first draft?

A4. I have a few things that have changed. For example I was originally going to have both of her parents be horrible but eventually I gave her father a redemption, I wasn't going to include Seojun's feelings for Jugyeong and have the main focus being Seojun trying to get over his anger towards the world and the guilt Miyeon feels.(PS: oh...then it had a huge drastic change...hmm...I like it!!)✌😃

Q5. When you're writing an emotional or difficult scene, how do you set the mood?

A5. Music is a big one, I can think of several songs that make me quite sad and that always helps me write the sadder scenes. I also tend to write emotional or difficult scenes at night for some reason - I think because it's so quiet and true feelings can come out.

Q6. Does writing energize or exhaust you? Or both?

A6. It depends really. I love writing and I do it every day no matter what. There are some books that I get so excited to write no matter what, and there are some that are at a point where it's just filling in between the big plot points which can be quite tiring. Also I have quite a lot of books, so it's easy to feel overwhelmed but I've got a good balance going for now.(PS: don't exhaust yourself not a single author should exhaust themselves!)😊

Q7. If you could meet your characters, what would you say to them?

A7. I would tell Seojun that he just really needs to make his mind up on what he's feeling and what he's not. I know feelings are confusing and can change all the time but really he goes from one end of the spectrum to another. I would tell Miyeon to just hang in there and to not worry so much. She's beautiful and talented and so strong after everything she's gone through. Also that she doesn't need to feel guilty for not having feelings, because you can't force them. And that they should just get together, no matter what conditions their under just get together.(PS: I would literally do the same!)😂

Q8. Would you share something about yourself that your readers don't know (yet)?

A8. I'm not sure if I've said this but I don't think I have so it took me around fifty chapters to introduce Hyunwoo. In chapter 40 there is a school festival which Miyeon leaves upset, and I was going have him comfort her. But then he doesn't get introduced until chapter 90, which is quite a big jump. That's more about my book, but about me I would say that I have two more accounts on here, I've only publically spoke about one of them but I do have another just to help me separate up types of books.

Q9. How do you process and deal with negative book reviews?

A9. I don't really mind them to be honest. I'm quite an emotional person so sometimes if I see something and I'm already upset then I will be more angry at them. Sometimes negative comments aren't really worth it and I forget them easily, but if it's something actually quite use then I will chime in. I'll be the first to admit that I can get annoyed really quickly, not only online but in everyday life as well and but I try best to not let it get to me because it really is just one thing and negativity is a part of life so there's not really any need to get so upset.(PS: don't let the negative comments take over you!)❤

Q10. What advice would you give to a writer working on their first book?

A10. Make sure it is something you really enjoy. I've read a lot and I've watched a lot of shows so I got lots of inspiration from that, as well as bands and other things. I would say inspiration is really key to it. I honestly get inspired by anything but there are some things that you get excited to write and so you do. If you find yourself inspired by something, just work with it and see where it goes. If you don't like it then it's fine. One of my first fanfics will never see the light of day again because I hate it and my writing style is awful, but it was how I really began writing. I would also say keep writing, don't give up when it's hard and if it comes to a point where you don't enjoy it then stop and find something else. Allow yourself to have breaks, watch tv shows and keep reading books - reading really helps expanding your vocabulary and your writing style is developed when it expands and you keep writing. Everyone finds things that inspire them, and everyone can find things that keep them motivated but as long as you enjoy writing it, I don't think it matters about any of that.
