7MIH

━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━

❝ give me seven minutes in heaven. ❞ - what typical high school playboy jaemin had not expected to have happened in a tight, included closet was to have his lips and body pressed tightly against the most innocent looking girl who had found him stuck in the janitor's closet.

you clearly haven't met her yet. things aren't going to be easy.

Q1. How did you come up with the title for your book?

A1. I was watching that one episode in Glee where Puck told Lauren that if she joined the glee club he'll give her seven minutes in heaven, I thought it was an interesting plot so I wrote a book inspired by it and so since seven minutes was the start of it all, I made it the title hehe.(PS: IT WAS A NICE SERIES THO..)❤

Q2. What's the trickiest thing about writing characters of the opposite gender in this story?

A2. The trickiest thing about writing characters of the opposite genders is the way they express themselves. Everyone can be mature, immature, funny, cute or whatever, but guys and girls express themselves very differently according to gender in my opinion. Girls are more expressive with themselves, even when they think. Where as for a guy, they are more blunt and most of them have no filter. When you do a POV for example, you want your readers to see and believe that the character you're writing about is comfortable with their thoughts. Writing isn't just about being smart with it, it is also about understanding humanity.(PS: absolutely right!)👏

Q3. If you could be a character in this book, who would you be?

A3. If I could be a character in the book, I'd be Jiae. True, she can be defensive and in denial and she holds a grudge because deep down she is still a little immature, but I want to be witty as she is. Also, she isn't just confident, she's brave to speak her mind and never let's people step on her.(PS: she is indeed a lovely character!)🤩

Q4. Are there any books or authors that inspired you to write this book?

A4. Bad Boy Isn't My Type. Honestly, I was young writing 7MIH and I was inspired so much by her book that 7MIH barely even felt original lmaoo (ㆆᴗㆆ). My writing was so immature JSJSJS pls yall if ur checking out my profile and planning on reading my books, I strongly suggest that u shouldn't start with 7MIH. It's not bad, it's quite good for my first actual completed book but...it's just not it HAHA.(PS: but I honestly loved it!)💚

Q5. What do you do to get inside your character's heads?

A5. I get inspiration from other books. I learn about their humor, their thinking, how they feel and how they see things differently. After I've got a clear personality of the character I want to be writing about, I try to piece it all together.(PS: nice strategy!)👍👏

Q6. What are the essential characteristics of the lead role in this book you can root for?

A6. Her sass(PS: of course that was the main point of her personality and I loved it!!)🤞

Q7. When you're writing an emotional or difficult scene, how do you set the mood?

A7. BRUH this is a good question. The things is for me, I love strong tension. I'm literally obsessed with it. Instead of just letting everything spill out, I love for the tension to slowly build up. Where both sides are constantly pushing on each other's buttons but both are either trying to not hurt their ego or be sensible but eventually everything bursts out in the end. Like a volcano lmao.(PS: thanks for appreciating dear!)💜

Q8. At what time of the day do you do most of your writing?

A8. Any time, mostly at night. My writing takes time, I need a clear mind so that I can think straight. Even if I do have the time but I am lazy, I won't do it. It doesn't work like that, you need to work well with yourself at your own pace.

Q9. How do you process and deal with negative book reviews?

A9. I don't. They were the ones who wanted to be negative about it, they should deal with themselves.(PS: facts)✨

Q10. What advice would you give to a writer working on their first book?

A10. Have a proper plot laid out, do your research. You need to know what you're writing about, how you're gonna write it, what's happening next. You need to understand what you're writing about too, trust me on this when I say you don't wanna look like an idiot when someone calls you out for not understanding you're own works. Also, you must be committed, especially if you're writing a novel. Don't start something just to leave it there half way, most of your readers will not like that. And you need to be patient. Writing takes time and thought and heart.
