Sickie/Little: Hyunjin
Caregivers: Chan (Daddy), Minho, Felix
No one's POV.:
When Minho came to wake him up this morning, Hyunjin was close to throwing his pillow at the older. The dance-line had to get up to an early morning practice while the rest of the group had at least two more hours to sleep in and Hyunjin was more than frustrated. Despite going to bed early the previous evening, he didn't feel rested at all. The only reason he had decided to call it a night early was the headache that had settled at the back of his head over the course of the afternoon and he hoped some sleep would fix that. It hadn't. When the dancer had finally collected himself and rolled out of bed, the pain was still there. If anything, it had only gotten worse over night and he had to catch himself on the doorframe as he stumbled to the bathroom to get ready. Switching on the light, he gasped and squeezed his eyes shut. He hadn't expected it to be so mercilessly bright. With his eyes still burning, he felt around for the light switch and quickly switched it off again, deciding to just brush his teeth in the dark. It wasn't as easy as he thought it would be and he managed to knock all their toiletries off of the counter. He had always been a bit clumsy and not feeling entirely himself certainly didn't help. Hearing the commotion, Minho came to check what was going on. He flicked on the light to find the mess Hyunjin had made and frowned: "What are you doing? Why don't you turn on the light?" The younger only whimpered, keeping his eyes closed. He knew Minho was upset with him but he couldn't help it. "H-Hyung, please turn the light off", he stammered, almost dropping his toothbrush. Though confused, Minho complied, humming: "Care to explain?"Minho was worried by his dongsaeng's odd behavior but didn't like to seem too over protective, in case the other was just tired and would later mock him. Hyunjin on the other hand was truly sensitive when he didn't feel well and by the harsh demeanor, he was convinced he had upset his hyung. Fighting back tears, he shook his head, instantly regretting the action, whispering: "Everything's fine, just don't turn the light on. I'm not really awake yet." – "Alright, just sit there and try not to knock anything else over, though I don't think there's anything else left that you could knock over", Minho sighed, leaving the younger to finish getting ready while he kept Felix company while the Aussie ate a small breakfast. Felix looked up and gave him a questioning look. Minho shrugged his shoulder, frowning: "He insists on getting ready with the lights off because he's still sleepy and made a bit of a mess because he couldn't see. I think we should just not question it, Hyunjinnie's weird sometimes." The younger giggled and finished the last bite of his breakfast before taking his plate to the sink. They were soon ready to head over to the company building but were still waiting for Hyunjin.
Walking down the hallway to get some clothes, Hyunjin had passed his two friends just in time to hear Minho's comment and felt his heart break. 'Am I weird?', he worried, bumping his shoulder on the doorframe as he paid no attention to where he was walking. A single tear ran down his cheek. Then another. Quietly sniffling, he put on his practice clothes and dried his face to join his friends for their practice. Since the sun was barely rising, Hyunjin could open his eyes with little trouble, already dreading the bright lights of the practice room. The dawn also kept the other two dancers from seeing how truly unwell their friend looked but everything would come to light soon. Quite literally. They entered the company building while Hyunjin kept his gaze on the floor, eyes barely open, just enough to keep him from walking into things. Every step sent shockwaves of pain through his skull and he wondered how he had even gotten here. The memories of this morning kept replaying in his head, Minho's disapproval when he knocked their stuff off the sink, his cold tone and the mean comment. He didn't feel like his friends wanted him to be there. 'You're overthinking things. It's not a big deal, you're just a bit emotional and reading into things too much', he reminded himself but it didn't help the gnawing feeling in his gut.
