Dont fall in love to quickly

the emperor/chp.4

Hunter's POV:

I felt bad for being so mean to Edric and I didn't know why.
He helped me but I was rude and stupid.

I walked up to the owl house looking it up and down.
I hesitated for about 5 minutes but I finally decided to knock.

" hoot hoot new visitor "

The door swang open and there stood a tall fluffly old woman.

"What you want" she scratched her head while she waited for me to answer.

"I'm here to see Luz"
"LUZ YOU HAVE A VISITOR"
I saw Luz ran down the stairs to the door.

" took ya long enough " Luz snatches the book from my hand then started flipping threw the pages.

I sat there for about 2 minutes  waiting for her to thank me.
Luz look up to see me looking annoyed.

" oh uh thanks you can leave now"
She slammed the door shut in my face"

I rolled my eyes then flew away.

"Ok good night lil rascal"
I sat him down back into the crack between the books on the book shelf.

I patted his head then jumped onto my bed.

I sighed softly then closed my eyes to sleep but before I could fully sleep my door slammed open.

"Emperor belos wants to see you "

I heard Kikimora in the distant.

I signed then opened my eyes.
"I'll be there soon" I hear my door slam shut.

I shrugged then got all my stuff on.
" yes emperor "

"Bow down"
" yes emperor "

I kneeled down to the cold hard ground.

He walked up to me and ran his fingers upon my back.

He pushed me back to where my hand weren't on the ground anymore.

He raised his staff in the air-

Luz's pov:

I scanned the book with my hands.
The new Zorra book won't come out in the human tell in years and is the only one I hadn't read.
Amity said she'd let me borrow hers.

I smiled at the book then gently set it down on the floor.

I closed my eyes to rest.
I woke up the next morning from EDA and king screaming

I ran down stairs to see what was happening .

I saw Eda and king playing cards.
I rolled my eyes.

"Thanks for waking me up"

" your welcome" they both said distracted.

" hoot hoot Amity is here*
Hootie opened the door to reavel Amity standing with her Palisman on her shoulder.

"H-hey Luz"

"AMITY" I ran up and hugged her.
She smiled as her face turned red.

" so whatcha doin here"
After I asked her that she looked down to the ground.

"Oh um just wanted to visit my girlfriend"

I smiled than giggled hugging her again.
She laughed than broke the hug.

"So how's the book so far"

" it's amazing Amity I'm so glad my awesome girlfriend gave it to me"
She smiled then finally walked into the house.

We say on the couch than talked for hours until we heard a knock on the door.

I open the door to see hunter, he seemed hurt badly. He had his mask in his hand but it had a huge crack in it, while his cloak was dirty and ripped.

"Hey Luz can I stay here"

I felt worried and scared.

"Of course of course"
I wasn't to happy about living with him but something happened between him and the emperor.

I saw Amity looking annoyed at him but I was still worried.

"Oh my gosh Hunter you should go to school"

Hunter raised an eyebrow at me looking confused.

"What"
He shook  his head while he dusted off his cloak.

" you might make a few friends and maybe even experience a real life as a witch"

He looked up at me.

" yea maybe I should go"
He smiled than rested his head on the couch rest"
