Summary: Aether invites Chongyun over to his teapot so they can spend the exorcist birthday together. Things get spicy.

Chongyun's birthday was coming up soon and Aether was running out of ideas on what to gift the exorcist. He wasn't as close as he would like to be with him, but they spent enough time together to become friends—and friends celebrated each other's birthday right?

He did know about Chongyun's excessive positive energy and his dislike towards hot foods and drinks—so he could use that information to come up with something last minute. Only the day before the blue haired boy's birthday.

Aether ends up getting help from Sara; the waitress from Good Hunter in Mondstadt. With her help he comes up with some icy popsicles similar to the ones Chongyun usually carries with him and with Ganyu's included help he manages to keep them from melting.

It's hard taking them back to his teapot with extra percussion but Ganyu insists that they won't melt for a good couple of days in the environment inside. Aether wants to question how that's even possible but he bites back his words before they can come out.

The female adepti wishes him luck before leaving the teapot, and once again Aether is left alone to think about what else he can gift the exorcist.

He had the main room of the home built into his teapot already decorated enough with light colors to not trigger the male's manic state. The last thing he wanted was to upset Chongyun on his special day, he didn't want the male to remember such an occasion as something bad.

In that moment he wished that his fairy companion was there to calm him down, but Paimon was unable to enter the teapot for some reason unknown. Still, he prefers it sometimes so he can be alone to think—it's just right now he'd rather have a distraction.

"It's okay. Just tell him you'll do anything for him!"

Aether screams as Xiangling comes out of nowhere, the blonde forgetting that he invited her over for a bit of help on the outside of his teapot. The girl was surprisingly really good at outdoor decor and would sometimes randomly pop by to leave some things. 

"Xiangling! You scared the crap out of me!" Aether clasps a hand against his heaving chest, "You shouldn't sneak up on me like that." He whines.

"Sorry!" The girl rubs the back of her neck in embarrassment, "I saw you pacing back and forth from outside and I know it's Chongyun's birthday tomorrow so I was thinking maybe you were worrying about what to gift him, isn't that right?"

Aether gapes at her, "How did you know just from that?"

"You're very easy to read!" She giggles, "If you have nothing just tell him you'll do anything for him!"

The blonde frowns, "I could, but he would probably just forget or say he doesn't want to burden me by asking something from me."

"You never know... some people can be surprising."

Aether raises an eyebrow, "What do you mean by that?"

Xiangling grins, "Oh nothing really! I'm just saying, it's not a bad idea—and if he doesn't want anything, then who cares. He'll be happy enough spending time with you Aether. Trust me."

The blonde male smiles, "Thanks. I'll keep that in mind."

Tomorrow comes too quickly, the traveler waking up extra early to make sure everything is in order.
