A Pair of Eyes

We have two wonderful eyes,

We see the nature of beauty by these.

We can see the daylight,

We can see the moonlit night.

We can read and write,

We can see the beautiful sight.

It's normal and natural,

But sometimes we also see the abnormal.

We cannot see the success of others,

We cannot absorb to see the progress of my neighbours.

The next door girl looks pretty,

But we find faults to ignore her beauty.

Your daughter or my son,

When they do any wrong,

We keep close our eyes, as if nothing is amiss,

But to have a look at others fault, we don't miss.

We don't digest to see the prosperity of others,

We remain blind which doesn't belong to ours.

We are lucky to have a pair of wonderful eyes,

Other people have also been gifted likewise.

So we are equal in the eye of law,

Art of good looking we should follow.

Looking at something with envious eyes,

In the long run, we do pay heavy price.

Don't fix your eyes on somebody with a bad look,

Learn how to see, it doesn't need a good book.
