Elijah's Pov

I gently helped Diana on the passenger's seat, she's been really quiet today and I understand her, I know that after what happened she won't be the same anymore but I'll be beside her in every step she takes, before closing her door I kissed her to let her know that,

" I love you " she whispered looking at me with love, I smiled at her,

" I love you too baby" I said before closing her door.

20 minutes later on the road....

I glanced at Diana to see her fast asleep,  Jacob was helping me take care of the preparations at home for the proposal, I went through her phone to contact her Uncle and asked him for her hand in marriage, he was really happy and proud, he was coming too, my parents, my brother her wife and my nephew will be here too,
There where really preoccupied after I told them what happened,  Jacob was still helping me with the investigation on what really happened that night, we still had nothing cause everything was burnt evidence but the investigation team at the station are working hard to get to the bottom of this, I won't let it slide not a chance,

I was taking her to her favourite restaurant, they prepared a private area for me and her,

" where are we going?" She asked rubbing the sleep of her eyes,

I took her hand and kissed it,

" to your favourite restaurant, I want you to relax and have like a small date" i said caressing her hand,

She looked at me and giggled,

" I'm not even dressed properly for this small date you planned" she said shaking her head,

" I'm not too, so your not alone here" I said smiling at her.

At the ending of their date....

We were eating dessert at the moment when my phone pinged,  I saw that it was Jacob,

" all set man!! I'm getting emotional here! I can't believe my best friend is about to have a fiance🤧" he wrote on the message making me roll my eyes and smile a bit,

" why are you smiling babe?" Diana asked from across me,

I looked up at her and shook my head,

" oh nothing it's Jacob, I think we should get going it's getting late anyways " I said,

" yeah I'm kind of having a headache and I'm felling sleepy " she said,  I got up and went over to her, she got up as well and I brought her close to me,

" why didn't you said this earlier we could have prosponed it you know and surely the meds are making you sleepy,  I'm stressing you out already" I said sighing,

" it's ok I love it thank you for bringing me here and besides I need a change of environment, being in the hospital for three days is not really nice" she said rolling her eyes,

I laughed and said,

"Let's go then" I took her hand intertwining them with mine and I quickly placed a tip and the amount for everything before leaving the restaurant.

We got home and it was all silent and dark, I guess everyone where prepared,

I got out of the car and quickly went over to Diana and helped her out of the car, 

" damn I can't wait to get on the bed I missed my bed so much" she said,
