My Savior

What would she say?

Elijah's POV

I layed in my bed thinking of how I would tell her about her moving away from that place, I'm sure she's going to curse me out but I don't know, I don't want to conclude so quickly. I sighed and got up, I checked my phone and saw that the time was 8:30 a.m, I went to the bathroom and did my routine and took a quick shower.
I wore black ripped jeans, army green t shirt and leather jacket. I took my phone, keys and got out of the house.

I quickly went to Starbucks and got two cups of iced coffee, I drank mine on the way to the hospital. I also quickly stopped at Ikea and bought a baby seat. As I almost reach the hospital I texted Diana informing her that I'm on my way, I sighed relaxing a bit because my heart was beating fast, I don't know why I'm so nervous, but I am.

I parked my car in the parking lot close to the entrance, I got out took my belongings and her iced coffee, I hope she likes iced coffee because for me it's a life saver when the weather is warm.
I walked to the elevator and went in, a nurse that was standing in the corner kept glancing my way, I rolled my eyes, I looked at her and raised a brow, she cleared her throat then said,
"Hi, are you here to see someone?", she batted her lashes try to make it sexy which was not really working and what kind of questions is that?, she was already frustrating me but I'm not going to be smart with her, just trying to be polite,
"Yeah I am" I said, she was about to say something when the elevator open I got out not giving her the time to finish her sentence but I heard her gasp and mumble "So rude", I didn't really mind, I just kept walking reaching Diana's room. I knocked before opening the door and saw her sitting on the chair with a smile, she looked so beautiful, her hair down, her face looks a bit pale but she looks gorgeous,
"Hey morning!" I said walking up to her, she stood up placing her baby on her shoulder,
"Good morning!"She said, I smiled at her,
"Are you guys ready?" I said,
"Yeah we are let me get the bag and then we can go" she said but I stopped her,
"Oh don't worry about that I'll take it and here I brought you iced coffee, I don't know if you like it!" I said, she looked at me with a big smile,
"Aww thank you! I love iced coffee thanks again!" She took it from me shyly and took her baby before leaving the room waiting for me.

I placed the bags in the booth of my car then opened the door for Diana to place Amelia in the baby seat that i thankfully bought before i came to the hospital, as she was done she walked towards the passengers seat and said thank you as I held her door.

Through all the ride we were silent, we didn't say anything, I once in a while glance at her and see her concentrated and I can see that she's in her thought and I don't want to disturb her, at least the radio is playing and it's not that awkward.

We finally arrived at her street, picturing her in this dangerous place by herself with her baby it's disturbing me, it's taking everything in me not to turn around and go to my place.

I parked in front of the house sighing, I don't even know how I'll tell her about what I feel about her staying here.
She took Amelia and got to the front door and unlocked it, I took her bags and follow her into the house and stopped in my track with wild eyes, everything that was neatly in the house was now destroyed, the house was upside down,
"Oh God!" She said breathing heavily, she had tears in her eyes but held her tears at bay,
"Fuck! No no this is not happening to me now not now!" She bounced Amelia as she cried, seeing her like this made me angry, everything about this situation made me angry she doesn't deserve all this no one does, life steps and destroys people that doesn't deserve it,
"You're not staying here" I said with a clenched jaw, she turned around quickly narrowing her eyes,
"I'm sorry what?" I stared at her straight in the eyes,
"I said you're not staying here" I said  shaking my head and grabbing the bags from the floor heading outside, i placed the bags back in the boot, I turned around and saw her still standing there stunned, I sighed and walked up to her,
"Diana I've wanted to tell you what's on my mind since I came here the last time and I think..." I was cut off by her angry laughter,
"What are you trying to do?, What? You came here to judge me which I'm very sure you were going about, where I stay and how I leave it's none of your business,  I can take care of my self, I don't need anyone to tell me how I should leave, thank  you very much! Now can you bring back my belongings or should I do that myself?" I glared at her,
" Diana, you're putting in danger your daughter and your life, you can't stay here it's way too dangerous for you to be all alone here, something might happened to you, I'm a cop and I saying all this from experience, people underestimate all this but I don't, my job is to protect people and seeing you in this condition it's disturbing and I can't just walk away from it" I said to her meaning everything I just said, she had tears in her eyes, I could see how surprised she is and at the same time how angry she's becoming,
" this is called life officer and I don't think you know how all this feels, your saying all this as if it's simple to do, I guess you have the money to do that but I don't, you can't protect everyone around you, it's hard out there, this apartment is the only thing I can afford and the only thing I have with my car, everyone rejected me and I don't want to suffer like that anymore, I want to do this alone, so I suggest you go back to where you're coming from, because all this will end at some point and I'm positive about it, thank you for you're help, you've done enough for me and my baby!" She turned around and headed to her bedroom, I stood there not knowing what to say, she's right I don't know how it fells but I just can't leave her here, I can't even think of that at all. I went to her bedroom and saw her placing Amelia on her crib, her room was all destroyed,
"Diana!" I called her, she ignored me and tried to arrange the room but nothing was really working out, I saw a luggage and took it, her close that were on the floor I took them and place them inside the luggage,
"Ok what the Fuck are you doing?" She asked glaring at me,
"Diana you can't stay here it's too dangerous and I'm not leaving you here all alone just come with me and later we'll figure out what happens next ok?" She stared at me for a while, she didn't say anything so I took that as a yes,
" it's a yes then!" I closed it then took the luggage to the my car. I walked back inside and saw her frustrated and exhausted, she was sitting on her bed covering her face with her hands, I sighed and went to pick Amelia quietly because she was still sleeping, I took a cover and covered her before placing her in my car, I turned around and saw her already sliding inside the passenger side. I walked to the other side of the car.

She was really quiet staring outside the window,
"Are you ok?" I asked her, she looked my way and said,
" Yeah I'm fine thanks" I nodded my head, she kept staring at me,
" Why are you doing all this Elijah?" She asked whispering, I looked her way for a brief second,
" because I need to Diana" she didn't say anything after that.

I parked my car in the garage, I looked over to Diana and saw her sleeping, I got out and went to the back seat to take Amelia inside the house first, I walked up the stairs and placed her on my bed putting pillows on her side's for safety, I quickly went downstairs and opened the passengers seat, I took her bridal style and took her upstairs too, as I was almost at the of my room when she stirred,
" What are you doing? Where am I?" She said I stopped and put her on her feet,
" You were sleeping and I wanted to take you to the room, you need rest, I'll go make something for lunch then I'll call you when I'm done" I said, she sighed and nodded her head before following me to my room, she went straight to the bed and hugged her daughter, I involuntary smiled at the gesture.
