~Chapter 36~

It didn't take long for them to get what Ultron was making.

But they'd lost Natasha in the process, Ultron took her.

Now Hadley sat with Tony in his lab, an uncomfortable silence on them as Bruce joined them

"Anything on Nat?" he asked

"I haven't heard" Tony said, walking to the regeneration cradle that sat in the center of the room, "But she's alive or Ultron would be rubbing our faces in it"

"This is sealed tight" Bruce said as they walked up to it, "We're going to need to access the program, break it down from within"

Tony nodded, thinking then he turned to Clint "Any chance Natasha might leave you a message? Outside the Internet? Old school spy stuff?'

"There are some nets I can cast" Clint said, "yeah.. I'll find her"

Tony watched as Clint left then turned to Bruce and Hadley

"I can work on tissue deterioration if you could fry whatever operational system Cho implanted" Bruce said

"Yeah.. About that" Tony said

Hadley looked up at them. Tony rubbed the back of his neck innocently

"No" Bruce said

"You have to trust me"

"Kind of don't" Bruce said

"Our ally, the guy protecting the military's nuclear codes, I found him" Tony hit a button and an orange projection appeared in front of them

Hadley smiled "J.A.R.V.I.S.?" she asked, hopping off the high shelf she sat on

"Hello Miss Velvet" J replied

"Nice to see you" she replied

"Hello Dr. Banner" J.A.R.V.I.S. added

"Ultron didn't go after J.A.R.V.I.S. because he was angry, he attacked him because he was scared of what he could do" Tony said, "So J.A.R.V.I.S. went under ground, scattered, dumped his memory. but not his protocols, he didn't even know he was in there until I pieced him together"

Bruce scoffed "So... You want me... to help you put J.A.R.V.I.S. in this thing?" he asked

Hadley furrowed her brows

"No! of course not!" Tony said, "I want to help you put J.A.R.V.I.S. in this thing"

Bruce scoffed and shook his head

"We're out of my field here" Tony said

"Isn't this what got you in trouble in the first place?" Hadley asked

"I'm involving you this time aren't I?' Tony asked, looking at her, he turned back to Bruce "You know bio-organics better than anyone"

"And you just assume that J.A.R.V.I.S.'s operational matrix can beat Ultron's?" Bruce asked

"J.A.R.V.I.S. has been beating him from the inside without knowing it" Tony said, "This is the opportunity, we can create Ultron's perfect self without the homicidal glitches he thinks are his winning personality. We have to"

"I believe it's worth a go" J.A.R.V.I.S. replied

Bruce scoffed "I'm in a loop! I'm caught in a time loop! Hadley's right this is exactly where it all went wrong"

"I know" Tony interrupted, "I know. I know what everyone's going to say. but they're already saying it. We're mad scientists. We're monsters buddy. We've gotta own it. Make a stand."

Bruce looked at him quietly then down

"It's not a loop" Tony said, "It's the end of the line"

Bruce sighed and nodded

Tony smiled and looked at Hadley "What do you say?"

Hadley watched him for a moment before sighing "If this goes wrong, and we have two murder robots to worry about... I will be helping Ultron kill you" she said

Tony grinned "fair enough! Thank you, I love ya baby" he said, blowing her a kiss before going over and starting up his screens.

Hadley quietly rolled her eyes playfully

Bruce looked between them in surprise

"We're just gonna brush past that..?" he asked as Tony started working

The workshop was quiet as the two determined scientists worked, J.A.R.V.I.S.'s matrix was beginning to load into the cradle

"This framework is not compatible" Tony said

"The genetic coding tower is at 97%" Bruce said, "You have got to upload that schematic in the next three minutes"

There was a loud footsteps as Steve entered, followed by the Maximoff twins. Hadley immediately stood

"I'm gonna say this once" Steve said

"How about none-ce?" Tony replied

"Shut it down!" Steve commanded

"Nope! Not gonna happen" Tony respinded

Steve looked at Hadley "You're part of this now too?" he asked, Hadley stayed silent

"You don't know what you're doing" Steve said

(side note, I love how Thor and Steve are the ones telling Tony he doesn't know what he's doing when it comes to this kind of thing when those two are the least knowledgeable in tech stuff XD)

"And you do?" Bruce asked, "She's not in your head?" he pointed to Wanda

"I know you're angry" Wanda said

"Oh. We're way past that" Bruce replied, "I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade"

"Banner, after everything that's happened-"

"Nothing compared to what's coming" Tony interrupted

"You don't know what's in there" Wanda said

'This isn't a game!" Steve said

Suddenly, there was a blur and all the tubes were unplugged from the cradle

"no no go on" Pietro said, "You were saying?"

There was a gunshot and the glass beneath the boy shattered, dropping him below them

"Pietro!" Wanda said

There was a loud beeping as the upload began to fail

"I'm rerouting the upload" Tony stated

Steve glared and threw his shield, shattering the screens

Tony's iron glove shot to him and he shot Steve backward as the rest of his suit shot toward him

Wanda went to use her powers when Bruce grabbed her by the throat "Go ahead, piss me off" he grumbled to her

Hadley jumped out of the way as another piece of Tony's suit flew to him

Steve punched Tony in the chest and Hadley shoved the captain to the side, the two men fell to different sides of the room

Suddenly Thor burst in the room and jumped on top of the cradle

He thrusted his hammer upward, grabbing lightning from wherever his lightning came from then he launched his hammer downward toward the cradle

"Wait!" Bruce yelled but it was already too late as the lights flickered

Thor panted after he finished

Suddenly the cradle busted open and a red man launched out of it

Everyone gaped at him as he slowly stood

Hadley glanced at Tony, who was shocked as everyone else

The red man looked around for a moment before launching himself at Thor

Then Thor threw him through a window and across the tower
