"ring! ring!" I hear as my phone goes off. "He-hello?" I say in a sleepy voice (because I just woke up). "Y/N, are you ready for our date yet?" my then boyfriend, Steve says through the phone. "HUH!?" I say with widened eyes, "What time is it?" "wdym? it's 12:30 p.m." explained Steve with a weary sigh at the end of his statement. I hang up without even saying goodbye to him and I rush to get ready.
