The Rescue

"See, we're not completely incompetent," James cried gleefully, "we managed to outsmart you with a focus sash," Jessie said. "Venusaur, return," Ash sighed, "go Greninja." "Greee," Greninja cried as it exited its Pokéball. "Gourgeist use Shadow Ball," Jessie yelled, "Malamar use Dark Pulse," James yelled, "Greninja use Water Shuriken," Ash yelled. Water Shuriken cut through the attacks slamming into the Pokémon. Gorgeist and Malamar were sent crashing back into their trainers. "Good work Greninja," Ash muttered before returning Greninja to its Pokeball. "I give you one chance," Ash said looking down on where Jessie, James and Meowth lay on the ground. "Change your ways," Ash said, "leave Team Rocket and never look back. I'm sparing you this one time. Next time I see you three and you are still apart of Team Rocket I will not hesitate." Ash turned around and began walking away, "Gorgeist use Seed Bomb," Jessie yelled, "Malamar use Psyshock," James yelled, "Ahhhh," Ash cried barely having time to put up an aura shield. Ash was send back by the blast due to his depleting aura powers but Jessie, James, Meowth and their Pokémon were send flying into the air. "Do you think we made a mistake," Jessie asked, "it doesn't matter," James said, "well at least this seems familiar," Meowth said, "wobbuffet," Wobbuffet cried. "Team Rockets blasting off again," they all cried before becoming a dot in the distance. Ash picked himself up from the ground, "owww," Ash muttered. Ash glanced over to where the hole was. Then Ash glanced over to the city. Leaf. She was alive. It was true. And she had just been tackled by Blake. "Charizard, let's go," Ash yelled, "charrrrr," Charizard roared breathing fire. Ash flew into where the fighting was fiercest which also happened to be where his Pikachu and Eevee were. "Pikachu use Thunderbolt, Eevee use Swift," Ash yelled, "Charizard use Flamethrower." "Pika," Pikachu cried, "Eevee," Eevee cried, "Charrrrr," Charizard roared. "People of Saffron," Ash yelled, " form a U-shape formation around the hole. Keep them surrounded." The people left defending the gap in the wall listened completely stopping Team Rockets avdvance. That's when he noticed someone flying towards him. Dawn. She landed next to him, "what are you doing here," Ash demanded, "no time," Dawn said quickly, "Giovanni." "Where," Ash asked, "outside the walls," Dawn replied, "you have to go. I'll hold them off here." "Looks like I'm about to carve a bloody hole through the advance," Ash said, "Pikachu, Eevee. Stay with Dawn. Let's go Krookadile." "Krookaaaa," Krookadile cried. "Let's go," Ash yelled, "use Stone Edge." "Krookaaaa," Krookadile cried as blue spikes shot up from the ground taking out dozens of grunts. Ash ran off with Krookadile close behind.

Motostoke City, Galar
With Chloe and Goh:
"Look at the news," Chloe said. "Team Rocket has viciously attacked Saffron City not letting anyone escape but it seems the resistance has increased with the arrival of Pokédex holders," the news reporter said before the camera zoomed in on Red who was in a ferocious battle with Giovanni. "It appears that Red himself has come to defend the city against Team Rockets leader, Giovanni," the news report continued. Suddenly the news report zoomed in on someone else who was battling his way through waves of Team Rocket grunts. "Who is that," Goh wondered aloud, "we believe that is Ash Ketchum who fought for and then against Team Rocket in the battle for Kalos 2 years ago," the news report said. "That kid has to be like our age," Chloe said in shock, "I remember him," Goh said, "he was supposed to be going to Professor Oaks summer camp ages ago. Like when we were kids." "Oh yea," Chloe said, "his sister actually showed up. What was her name? Leaf?" They focused back on the Tv where the report had focused on something else. "Here we have Blake, the commander of the International Police in a fist fight with who we believe to be Leaf Ketchum, sister of Ash Ketchum, she was presumed dead 8 years ago by a terrorist attack but from private info we have found it appears she was apart of the International Police for some time and was a Captain. But it appears she has defected and is now working under Giovanni." The Tv was switched off. "Dad we were watching that," Chloe said, "yea sorry but due to the circumstances including those presented on the news we are returning home," Professor Cerise said, "what," Goh said, "we were supposed to be here for another 3 weeks." "Sorry," the Professor said, "but due to Team Rocket being spotted extremely close to the lab we will be returning to Kanto tomorrow. There are some very important things in my lab that I'm sure Team Rocket would love to get their hands on so we are going home."

Saffron City, Kanto
With Blake and Leaf:
"You want a rematch," Leaf said, "fine." Leaf shed her jacket so she was only wearing a plain black t-shirt and denim jeans. Leaf got into a defensive stance. Blake got into his stance before attacking. He feinted on Leaf's left side before jumping on the ground and spinning around. Leaf barely had time to dodge. Blake jumped up kicking her back in the process. Leaf only had time to get up as Blake released a barrage of punches that Leaf blocked. Leaf propelled herself forwards. Blake predicted this and flipped over her slamming her into the pavement. "Owww," Leaf groaned. Blake ran, trying to find his jet. "He has me beat and just runs off," Leaf muttered to herself, "something's wrong with that guy."

With Red and Giovanni:
"Saul use Frenzy Plant," Red yelled, "Rhyperior use Rock Wrecker," Giovanni yelled. "Use Hammer Arm," Giovanni yelled, "Use Leaf Blade," a voice rang. Suddenly a Sceptile jumped through the smoke intercepting Rhyperior. Ash stood there when the smoke cleared. "Ash Ketchum," Giovanni growled, "hello old friend," Ash replied calmly. Giovanni pulled a button out of his pocket and pressed it before calling out his Beedrill and flying away. That's when they noticed that all the Team Rocket members had just retreated. Ash relished too late why they had retreated. "Everyone get down," Ash yelled. A second later explosions shook the area all across the walls crushing hundreds of people under rubble. When the smoke cleared the walls were demolished showing the devastation that Team Rocket had caused to the city. Ash saw the jet as it rose above the clouds and he knew that Blake had left. "Congratulations, you are being rescued," Red said with sarcasm dripping off every word. Ash ran off to find Dawn. When he saw her he basically tackled her. "I miss you too," Dawn murmured, "I don't know what I would've done," Ash admitted, "but on a brighter note I got the thing you asked for." "A USB stick," Dawn said, "no stupid," Ash said, "what's on it. It's where your mums Pokémon are."
