THE DAY THAT WASN'T 

Y/n Hargreeves POV:

"ughhh soo stupid", I groaned as I plopped on the bed and removed the rolled-up chit under my shorts, 'if he had already delivered a message why the fuck did he kiss me, a fucking idiot', I opened the paper which read, 

'I'm gonna stop the apocalypse no matter what you do', that's when I heard a knock as I shoved the paper under my folded sheet next to me,

"come in", the door opened revealing mother,

"y/n I need your help", she said shutting the door behind her,

"Yes?", I said as I sat upright, 

"Keep an eye on five for me will you? I think he is up to something"

"yes", I sighed, 

"go"

"Oh yes", I said getting up and walking out of the room, I jogged down with a smile across my face mother made my plan easier for me, I was going towards the department he works in as I saw him standing behind a wall with one hand on chin and the other crossed,

"watcha doing?", I whispered near his ear startling him, when he suddenly turned following Dot, then I casually crossed him and walked over towards Dot, she was going to Gloria,

"No y/n stop", he whispered 

"Gloria the handler knows that five is up to something, get this to Hazel and Cha Cha immediately", she said handing her a tube then running out I entered and noticed five had spatial jumped,

"Hi Gloria", I greeted with a smile, she turned to face me as I slapped her neck with the side of my hand leaving five startled, "I was always on your side since the day I came back to my family so shut up and do what you need to",  I said as I threw him the tube and dragged Gloria behind a counter, as I was leaving I heard footsteps so to save both of our asses I decided to go out and so I took the exit still keeping an eye inside,

"you know that's not how we do things here", Ah shit mother, "where's Gloria?"

"Don't know couldn't find her anywhere", five replied when Gloria groaned catching her attention, 

"You're a great disappointment to me", she exhaled, 'uh oh', without any other thought I ran, I ran up to her office and got a couple of her grenades then ran back down when I heard the alarm go and gunshots 'I hope I am not too late with that I jumped down the stairs and noticed Dot and others even Gloria, I decided to hide, but they left the place as sneakily as they could so I came nearer I could see the fight when suddenly Mum's gun was out of bullets and five saw me and had a grin on his face, he teleported to me as I handed him a grenade he took it and teleported in front of the counter, 

"but it's not you", he said as he rolled it to her, 

"No Five", I screamed but he jumped as he hugged me and took cover from the wall, he then teleported both of us to the briefcase room, he took one of them and took another granade from me as we teleported out with the help of the briefcase he threw the Granade in the room, I was too shocked to process anything but we landed on our bar counter, with everyone surrounding us,

 Deigo behind the counter while Allison and Luther stood as Klaus sat down, "You guys am I still high or do you all see them to", Klaus asked, me and five groaned and as soon as we sat up I came into my senses and punched him in the face which made him fall again,

"ooo" (Allison and Luther)

"ahhh" (Klaus)

"I deserved that" (Five)

"definitely" (Deigo)

His nose was bleeding now, "why the hell would you do that?", I questioned

"It's for the best", He groaned

"how do you know, she raised me", I was on the verge of crying 

"wait what?", Allison asked 

"I am sorry okay, I care about you and I didn't want you with her", Five continued ignoring her as he sat upright in front of me,

"But-", i tried to speak as I felt my throat getting blocked

"I am sorry", and with that, he hugged me, we stayed like that for a few seconds while everyone else's jaw dropped when it hit me and I broke away from our hug gently, 

"What is happening?", Luther asked, but I felt a Gaze at my back, i turned and saw Deigo he had worry in his eyes, I gave him a small nod assuring I was alright and then turned to face the others, five stumbled down and took Allisons coffee from her hand and gulped it down like water, they looked at me but saw I was in no state to talk I hated feeling weak,

"So the apocalypse is in three days and the only chance we have of solving it is, well, us,"

"The umbrella academy", Luther stated

"Yeah, but with us obviously," he said pointing to me with the coffee mug, "So if you all don't get your sideshow acts together and get over yourselves, we're screwed, who cares if Dad messed us up? Are we gonna let that define us?"

"No", Klaus shook his head, he was so driven by this speech looking at him I felt a little alive, and also when I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned to face Deigo and without another thought, I hugged him and he hugged me back with his left hand,  while five kept on talking, 

"what happened?", he whispered still embracing me,

"long story", I sighed

"wanna talk about it later?"

"yes please", I replied as he pulled away from our hug, "how'd you break it?", I said pointing to his arm hanging next to his chest,

"Ahh this, because I was too good with both so I decided to break one to get even with Luther",

"Of course", I said sarcastically, We then turned to face the other's, Five handed Allison a letter as Deigo went ahead to read as well, 

"Harold Jenkin?"
