Luke crept into the studio late at night. Frosty winter air flowed into the empty studio and a gust of chilly wind shut the door behind him with a loud

Bang!

Luke froze at the sound, but then he realized the studio would be empty at this time if night. He set is bags down and made is way over to the black leather couch to attempt to get some sleep. Luke had insomnia, so he barely slept.

Luke plopped down on the couch and stared up at the celicing. It wasn't very interesting though, there was nothing up there to look at but the wooden planks.

That's when he heard a soft shuffling sound. He sat up and looked around but it was hard to see anything in the dark. He went over and turned on the light.

"Ahhh!" A person screamed.

"Ahhhhh!" Luke dreamed back, but the screaming stopped once they realized who each other was.

"Luke?"

"Reggie?"

"What are you doing here?" Reggie asked, still trying to get back the breath he lost from screaming.

"Uh...I um.... Well my parents are away on a bissnuess trip and I locked myself out of the house, so I came here." Luke lied.

"I thought your mom didn't work any more?" Reggie says. "Wait, so are you lying?"

"What? Pft no, I would never -" Reggie raised his eyebrows at him, not believing a word he was saying. "Yeah I'm lying." Luke sighs. "I- I'm sorry."

"No it's fine, just tell me what's up." Reggie said. Luke should have known he would have forgiven him for lying right away. Reggie could never stay mad for more than two minutes at anyone. Alex was the one who you had to try to make up with, at least Luke did. Alex always forgave Reggie pretty easily.

Luke sighed, he knew he could trust Reggie, but he didn't know if he was ready to even talk about what had happened.

"If you don't want to talk about it, that's okay." Reggie said, reading his mind. He knew him so well, Luke thought he knew him better than himself.

"No, it's fine....I want to talk about it." Luke said. He knew if there was anyone who he could talk to, it would be Reggie or Alex. Here Reggie was, right now, with two ears waiting to listen. "I got in a fight with my mom. She told me she didn't want me in the band anymore. She said that it was hopeless and wasn't gonna go anywhere, so I ran out." He said. "I came here thinking it would be empty." Luke didn't have to ask why Reggie was there. He knew this is where he came when he needed to get away from his arguing parents. "Is it that bad again?"

"All they do I shout at each other. At least their focus is off of me." Reggie said. "And not to be disrespectful, but your mom is wrong. Our band is so close to playing the Orhpum, we are just waiting on that call. Then we'll be legends, just like you said."

Luke smiled, Reggie never failed to make him smile when he was sad. "Thanks buddy." He says. "For being here."

"I'm always gonna be here." Reggie said. "Whenever you need me, I'm here for you." He wrapped his arms around Luke, hugging him tightly.

When they pulled away, they both decided that they couldn't sleep so they instead sat on the couch and talked until Reggie was passed out, head leaning against Luke's shoulder.

Luke carefully got up, and gently laid his head on the pillow. He covered him up with the orange blanket and he went outside to watch the sun come up.

It was the morning sunrise. The sky was a beautiful orange color and the yellow sun glowed brightly in the sky. White little snow flurries dances down to the ground. Luke shivered a little as he was wearing a tank top. That boy hated sleeves and never wore them, even in the winter. He only wore them when is mom made him.

But he stopped shivering when he felt a warm blanket being placed around his shoulders. Reggie sat down in the driveway next to him, watching the morning snow. It barely ever snowed, so when it did, they liked to enjoy it, even if it never stuck to the ground.

"You're gonna get frostbite if you don't wear a coat or something." Reggie says.

"Aren't you cold?" Luke asked all he was wearing over his black t-shirt was a red flannel and his leather jacket.

"Not really, I'm used to- I mean before I moved here I lived in Alaska so I'm used to the cold." Reggie says.

"Reg, you were born here." Luke says.

"Yeah, alright." Reggie says. "I'm just used to being out in the cold because before we meet Bobby, I didn't have the studio to come to so I just slept outside in the park whenever I didn't want to stay home."

Luke put his arm around him to share the blanket with him. They watched the sunrise together and went back inside the studio to look for some snacks.
