Third person

Luke and Reggie were alone in the studio. Julie was at school and Alex was probably off screaming in a museum with Willie.

"So...what do you wanna do?" Luke asks. The two have been sitting on the couch in boredom for the past ten minutes.

"I guess just whatever you want to do." Reggie shrugs.

"Okay well I don't know what I wanna do so you decide." Luke says.

"Why can't you decide?" Reggie says. "I don't know either."

"Fine, fine. Let's go see if we can find anymore old things in the loft." Luke says. The two of them poof up there and begin looking around in books, remerging through junk, old clothes, and more junk.

"Nothing good is up here." Reggie sighs.

"Wait I think I found something." Luke says pulling out an old notebook covered in stickers. I mean covered in stickers so much that you couldn't even see the original color of the notebook. Stickers of all kind were collaged on the cover. Star Wars, scratch and sniff, puppies, rock band, holo graphic, anything that could be a sticker, was on this notebook.

"Is this yours?" Luke asks holding it up. Reggie instantly recognized the notebook. It was where he wrote everything down. His thoughts, his feelings, his secrets, literally everything. His biggest secret was in there. His feeling for Luke were written in that notebook.

"No." Reggie lies shaking his head. "But give it to me."

"Dude no way is this where you write all those country songs?" Luke says flipping through the book, his curious, prying side taking over. He just can't help it, he's a very snoopy person.

"Luke, seriously stop." Reggie says fearing what Luke would read. There was so much in that journal that he never wanted anyone to see. He regrets not hiding it better.

Luke stops at a page and silently reads it. Reggie anxiously and impatiently watched as Luke's eyes moved across the page, lingering at one spot for a few seconds longer. And a few more. And a few more. His eyes were glued to one sentence and Reggie got a nervous feeling in his stomach.

"Luke? Can I please have it."

Luke's eyes were attracted to one sentence written in Reggie's squiggly slanted hand writing.

How do I tell Luke I think I'm in love with him? I can't. There's no possible way I could ever utter those words, so instead I have to forget these feelings.

"Luke? W-what did you read because like not all of it is mine you know and I -"

"You had feelings for me?" Luke says finally looking up from the words at Reggie. Reggie looks away from Luke and at his hands as he picks at his fingers.

"Maybe. No. Yes. Kinda." Reggie says quietly.

"Had or have?" Luke asks wondering if the leather jacket wearing boy still had feelings for him.

"I - I don't know. Maybe?" Reggie says. "But..." Reggie was about to go on about how he knew Luke could never like him like that and how he knew they'd always just be buddies, and not a couple.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Luke says. "I mean- I've always had feelings for you, but I didn't think...well I don't think I was your type."

"You had feelings for me?" Reggie asks a little surprised. He never thought Luke would ever reciprocate his feelings for him. Honestly Reggie thought he was destined to be alone since he's never been able to start a relationship with anyone. But then he realized he might have felt something for Luke. He never thought Luke would ever have feeling for him because he always seemed happy dating other people. All those pretty girls, Alex for a little bit, Reggie just thought there was no way he could compete.

"Have." Luke says. "I still do."

"Oh." Reggie says. "But- I mean you've dated so many other people and they seemed to make you like super happy like out of all the people in this world you chose to have feelings for me?"

"Well I thought I'd never have a chance with you, so I tried to get over you by dating other people. But they were never you." Luke explains. "But I've always..I've always had feeling for you. It was always you."

"Oh." Reggie says.

"Yeah."

"So if you like me...and I like you...what now?"

"I don't know." Luke shrugs. "Wanna...like go out?"

"Like as friends or as not friends."

"Uhh both, neither- I uh, I don't know." Luke says. "Just like together. We don't- we don't have to label it or anything."

"Cool."

"Cool."

"Cool." Reggie says again. "So like...what do you wanna do?"

"I don't know." Luke shrugs. "Anything I guess."

"Come on, let's go to the beach. It's like the best place ever." Reggie says and Luke chuckles.

"Alright." He says. They take each other's hand and poof away each on thinking they were the luckiest ghost alive (or dead I guess) to be hounding the other's hand.
