~Normal POV
11/18 - Friday
Everyone met up at the hideout immediately after school. Sojiro left the shop for them for their meeting. Apparently Futaba had told him it was important that they have complete privacy for this one. Once Akechi arrived, everyone else's acting prowess was put to the most severe test. It was a life or death chore to have to treat him like a member of the team still. He didn't seem to notice a difference in their behavior. Good. He still did not suspect anything. But knowing that he was both a traitor and a murderer made it difficult to look him in the eye...
"So how are we supposed to send this card," Ann asked, "She might just think it's a prank."
"I could always put it on Sae-san's desk," Akechi suggested, casually. "I could gain access easily and I know where her office is."
"Bad idea," Akira replied, "It'd be easily traced back to you."
There was a moment of pause before Makoto spoke up. "...Give me the card." Ryuji handed it over. "I can just tell her it came in the mail. It's the least risky method. No matter what she asks, I won't tell her anything."
"Makoto..." Futaba said, frowning.
"I trust her with it," Akira said. "I'm sorry to have to do this to you."
"Is that really the only way," Ann asked, unsurely.
"I'll be ok." Makoto answered with a small smile. "This is to help her after all. And I've already traversed far more dangerous ground than this."
"Now then, we enter in front of the courthouse," Akira said, "Shall we say... 6 p.m?" Everyone agreed to the specified time.
"I'll leave first, if you don't mind. I have an incoming call soon," Akechi said, "And I shouldn't be seen leaving near the Sakura residence with any alleged suspects." He chuckled lightly and walked out the door.
Yusuke watched out the window. "...He's gone."
"Phew, you think he suspects anything?" Ryuji asked.
"It's unlikely; we've been very careful and discreet... But with his acting skills it's hard to tell..." Yusuke said, frowning.
"We gotta get this plan over with as soon as possible." Futaba said, firmly, "So that I don't have to look at his fucking bastard face anymore..."
"I wouldn't word it that way, but I quite agree," Haru said, stiffly.
Akira was lost in thought for a moment. Everyone waited patiently for him to say something.
"What are you thinking, Akira," Ryuji asked.
Akira smirked. "...I bet I can hit the pavement before they cuff me."
Ryuji grinned. "I'll take that bet!"
"That's a sucker bet, Ryuji! I bet they'll send cops into the building right away," Futaba said, "I mean think about how badly they need their plan to work."
"You sure are confident, if you're gambling with your own life," Yusuke said.
"Alright, we have the fake treasure ready too." Akira said, "Ryuji, Yusuke, I'm trusting you two to make the switch. Futaba, when the Shadows go berserk; that's our cue to split up. Morgana, you go with Akechi and make sure he doesn't leave the Palace alone."
"I won't fail you Akira!" Morgana said, proudly.
"I know you won't. And lastly, Makoto?"
"What is it?" She asked.
