🧸Penny x Sheepy "Are we more than the best of friends?"🧸

Requested by: Coolcatbro79. This is one of my otps, so this is gonna be good! Trust me. Also, if you've seen The Fox and The Hound, you'll get some of the references. Also, I'll reference the redesigned skins, so Sheepy will be a light grey instead of white.

*Flashback*
Penny's pov
I played on the swings with my best friend, Sheepy. We've know each other since we were babies and been besties ever since! We both jumped off and rolled around in the grass and laughed. "Hey Penny?" Sheepy bleated "Yea?" I snorted. "We'll always be best friends forever, right?" She asked "Yea, forever!" I chirped. "Penny! Time to come home!" Someone called to me. "That's my mom." I snorted. We both get up and hugged each other, promising to come back here tomorrow.

*End of flashback (still in Penny's pov)*
"SHIT!! ME AND MY OVERSLEEPING ASS IS GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" I shot up from my bed and scrambled to get everything ready and snatched an orange from the fruit bowl after I strapped on my backpack. I sped out of the door and was able to lock the door before I started my journey. I checked my phone and... I was actually...... Early? Welp, I just gave myself an anxiety attack for no reason. I shoved my phone back in my pocket and decided to visit the park for a bit. I sat down on one of the benches and heard a bleat behind me. I turned my attention to my bestie, Sheepy.... Well, if I'm being honest, I like her more than a friend. I just can't tell her, because she probably likes someone else. "Hey Suz, how have you been?" I snorted and hugged her. "Been great, but you still have a bit of a bedhead! Another anxiety attack?" Sheepy chuckled and sat next to me. "Yea, I've been having that same dream, when we were little kids, back in grade K. You remember? When you asked me if we would be besties forever?" I explained and placed my hooves on my lap. "Of course I remember, I was the one who asked. And we're still the best of friends to this day." Sheepy replied. I smiled and gave her another hug.

Sheepy's pov
Penny is really my best friend, but I wonder if we could be more than that.... I actually think she's cute, and fearless. Although she can be a bit clumsy and give herself anxiety attacks when she thinks she's late for school. "How's George?" I asked. "He's doing better, still getting a few flashbacks from the infection and having meltdowns at times." Penny snorted with a frown at the end. I felt really bad for him and Penny. "Well at least he's getting better. That's what matters." I chirped and placed a hoof on Penny's shoulder to cheer her up. "Yea, thanks Chief." Penny snorted jokingly. Both of us are huge fans of The Fox and The Hound, and so we make quite the amount of references from that movie.

Penny's pov
I was glad today is Friday, since Sheepy and I haven't had a sleepover in a long time. "Hey Suz, wanna have a sleepover after school today?" I snorted with excitement. "Would I!? Of course!!" She happily bleated in return. We both made the plans and decided to invite some of our friends over, too. I didn't even realize that I kissed her on the cheek until I was far away, then I just internally screamed, with a red face, and walked the rest of the way to school

Sheepy's pov
OMG!! PENNY KISSED MAH CHEEK!! I quickly went from light grey, to red. I walked to school also, and met up with Pandy, Kitty, and Katie. All three of them saw my red face and instantly knew. "Where did she kiss ya!?" Kitty mewed. "I-I don't know what you're talking about." I stuttered, trying to get them off my case. "You know who we're talking about, Suzy." Pandy remarked with a smirk. "Where did Penny kiss you!?" Katie yowled. I pointed to my cheek and the next thing I heard were squeals of excitement. "GURL!! SHE LIKES YOU!!" Kitty meowed at the top of her lungs. "It could have been a friendly kiss...." I suggested. "Nah! We saw her walk in with a red face and constantly murmuring something to herself. We only heard your name." Katie explained. Maybe they are right.... I mean, she is my crush.... She's so funny and caring That has me asking myself 'Are we more than the best of friends?' I don't think I'll have an answer anytime soon.... But I know that Penny is my one true best friend. Even if we start dating.
