🧸Brandon x Pandy "Monsters still feel love" 🧸

This was requested by TheSilverPaw1811! I'll make this as wholesome as possible! I made a new monstrous infection au to fit this. Basically, the infection Mr. P created mutated to create these monstrous, mindless beings that only lust for blood and flesh. Unfortunately, Brandon is one of the victims, but he still has enough sense to know not to attack anyone he cares about dearly. Hope you enjoy this!

Pandy wandered through an abandoned city, katana in paw. She seemed distraught, as if she lost someone she loved dear; she did. "It's my fault you're infected, Brandon.... I should have helped you fight.... What a fuckin coward I am...." She spat to herself. She soon heard footsteps and tensed up slightly. "Who's there!? Show yourself!" Pandy roared, swallowing a stutter. A deep brown almost black blur of fur rushed out from the shadows, pushing the panda against one of the crumbling, yet somewhat stable building. Its growl was low and menacing until it noticed the panda's katana. Its eyes widened slightly as if a memory was coming back. Pandy took this opportunity to kick the beast off her and pin it down, by its chest, with her boot. 

The beast growled in pain and tried to speak, the only word that came out was "Pandy?" The panda's leg slowly slipped off as she took in what the beast was. Dark brown almost black fur, dark forestry green eyes, and very familiar clothing, although a little ripped. "B-Brandon? Is that really you?" Pandy stuttered as Brandon sat up, nodding at her question. The panda teared up and dove into the bear's arms, overwhelmed with joy. "I'm so glad you remember me! I'm sorry I got you infected..." She whimpered, choking down a few sobs. Brandon hugged her tightly and rubbed her back to calm her down. It wasn't her fault he got infected, he wanted her to leave so she wouldn't get hurt when he eventually got infected. 

He never blamed her for running, but he knew how she got. Brandon wished he could tell Pandy that it never was and never will be her fault, and that the blame was solely on him for not accepting the help, however, he could not because infected can't talk, especially not the monstrous strain. Her name was the only thing he got out and he was happy that she at least remembered him. He felt her nuzzle into him. "I'm such an idiot.... I always was..." The panda sobbed. Brandon gently pushed one of his claws on her mouth to get her to shut up. He never saw her this emotional and vulnerable.... It made his heart break. 

Pandy quietly sobbed, trying not to alert any other infected to her location. "Oh Brandon... I'd give anything to be able to hear your voice again... Or to even get you back to normal.... I shouldn't have ran...." She growled scornfully, slightly lecturing herself for the decision she made. "Pandy...." Was all Brandon could muster, he wanted so bad to tell her that it was never and will never be her fault.. It was his for not taking the help. Pandy turned her gaze to him, waiting for a word or sound. The bear only held her in his arms, gently rubbing her back while she sobbed once again and pushed her head into his chest. 'It's not your fault, Pan-Pan... The blame is all mine... Oh what I wouldn't give to tell you...' 

Brandon though and kissed the panda's head. Even though he was a monster, he could still feel love, especially towards his girl. Brandon planted a gentle kiss on her forehead and held her in his arms, letting her release her tears and all her bottled up sorrow. "I'm so lucky to have you, love..." She whimpered. "Me.... too" Brandon managed to mumble. The panda cried herself to sleep, exhaustion finally took over her. The bear softly chuckled before picking the panda up and taking her to some abandoned shop he found near the outskirts of Lucella. There he set her down on a mattress and laid down next to her. 'Goodnight, Pandy... I'll see you in the morning.' He thought to himself before finally allowing sleep to overcome him. Yes, monsters still feel love, so not all should be judged by appearance alone.
