No, Petra is a creature of Seduction. She does fly around like the story books say, and she does chose to come at night. But she goes to men in distress and relaxes them in her own way. And if she likes them, she leaves a Bell behind for them to call her back.
She only stops coming when you grow to not need her any longer.
