Chapter 3: Unexpected video call

Ava POV

I woke up before my alarm clock could even ring.

Im just too excited.

Its about 9 a.m. and my alarm doesn't ring for another hour

Since im up early i decided to triple check everything.

I walked up to the multiple bags i packed yesterday after My day with Pixie.

We saw Ezra and Maudie together.

They were totally on a date.

I dont care how many times they deny it.

They like each other.

Their ship name would be........

Mezdie.

Mazra.

NO I GOT IT

MAUZRA.

It has good ring to it.

Yup Mauzra it is.

I will make it my mission to get them together.

I then got a notification on my phone.

It was Kyle.

I smiled as unlocked my phone to read his message.

I knew what he was gonna text me.

KyleKlim: Good morning Ava!

I smiled wider looking at his text and gave him a response.

I liked getting good morning and goodnight texts for him.

AvaAndri: Morning Kyle! Ready for later?

KyleKlim: Pretty much. My mom is double checking my things for me. :D

AvaAndri: Cool see you in 2H and 30mins

KyleKlim: 2 hours? i thought you said to meet at 9.30

AvaAndri: No Kyle.... I said we will meet at noon.

KyleKlim: Oh.

I slapped my hand on my forehead.

He is very forgetful..

KyleKlim: Then why are YOU awake at this time?

AvaAndri: 9 a.m. is not that early

KyleKlim: Okay then, hold up a sec.

Kyle then requested a video call.

Wait...... since when did Kyle ever call me?

I accepted the call.

I don't know why i feel so nervous..

Kyle's face popped up on my phone screen.

"What's up Ave?" Kyle said waving and giving a goofy smile.

(Pronounced as Ayv)

"Ave?" I asked.

"Yup, since Maudie and Ezra made nicknames for each other. We might as well do the same." Kyle said.

"Y-yeah...." I said, still a bit nervous.

"So what will you call me?" Kyle asked.

"Uhmmm Maybe Ky." I said.

"Sound good. Sounds like some sort of karate name." Kyle said.

I giggled at his joke.

"Anyways, how many bags did you pack this time?" Kyle asked raising an eyebrow.

"J-just 5 okay." I said crossing my arms.

"Thats a new record. I remembered at the camp you had 12 bags." Kyle smiled.

"We were in the wild, dont judge me." I said as i rolled my eyes.

"Sure. Totally a reason to pack a disco ball." Kyle said sarcastically.

"Fine i guess that was unnecessary." I huffed.

Kyle then smiled and seemed like he was starring right into my soul.

I broke the silence.

"Anyways i got to go Quadruple check everything. See ya later Kyle." I said before ending the call.

It was rude because i didn't give him a chance to say goodbye back.

I then slumped on my bed.

That was so awkward.

Then ill be seeing him later.

Why was i so nervous when he called?

Maybe its just new to me?

Kyle POV

"Anyways i got to go Quadruple check everything. See ya later Kyle." Ava said before she ended the call.

I admit, that was highly awkward.

Maybe i did something wrong?

Whatever it is, i hope it doesnt go long.

It is my first time video calling her.

I guess i was a bit bold and nervous at the same time

Honestly i feel weird around Ava.

But i like it.

Its like when your grandma comes to your room with a plate of freshly baked cookies.

The warm fuzzy feeling you get yknow?

I slumped on my bed.

This warm fuzzy feeling is more complicated to solve compared to my maths homework.

Anyways i have to act as normal as I can when I get to her house later

I can't forget that I'm spending 1 whole week with her.

Ezra and Maudie too.

Can't forget about them..
